What to say about 'A'?
Hey, guys!! I've got a question!
Well, many people here around AHS have an A tattoo or anything related to Ayu. But my problem is what to say if people ask what the A means. I have M tattooed my left shoulder blade and today I really got an A on my neck. So what to say if I'm asked about the meaning. I do not want to lie about the meaning, but it sounds stupid to outsiders who don't understand this devotion to Ayu. (You know what people are like... ![]() Any experiences or any ideas?

People get band/musician tattoos all the time. Just tell the truth, unless you're ashamed to be a fan.

I do not think so. Most people get any motives like flowers or anything. Wouldn't people think that I'm kinda naive or immature when I tell the truth about the A tattoo?
Though most people know that I listen to japanese music a.k.a ayu... I really do not know. I'd never be ashamed!! How could I! Ayu for president~~ ![]() ![]()

^I don't understand what you mean. Why would people think you are naive or immature for getting an A symbol tattoo? I am planning on getting one myself, and I would never lie about what it means. Ayu is an inspiration to me, and if people don't understand that then that is their problem.

You're right. Ayu means the world to me.
What I mean is that by getting in this young age (I'm 19) such a tattoo (though it wouldn't make any difference if I were older) may make people think that I'm naive or immature. What shows such a tattoo? Fandom and devotion. Getting a tattoo is a serious choice and a tattoo is forever. Any fandom or devotion may not last forver, that's what other's may think. I personally do not care about such things whether my devotion to ayu will last forever,it's just important what I felt at that time. But I also do not want to viewed as a dumpass in other people's eyes, you know. |

i understand what you mean actually.
but it is true that lot of people get band tattoos. i've even met people with video game tattoos. just go google and you will find tons and tons. so basically, i don't think you should worry about telling them the truth. its their problem if they can't handle that. ![]()

If it makes you feel better I've got a tattoo on my foot of a cat and the Chinese symbols for love, hope, and dream, and I absolutely love it but it's incredibly embarrassing telling people that's what it means. It was really happy with getting those meanings when I got the tattoo, but now they seem so childish. So I know what you mean. : /
I'd just tell people that it's your favorite singer's logo. If they ask who it is, you're just going to have to fess up and tell them. It's always embarrassing for me to say my favorite singer is Japanese, but then I usually mention that she's been an inspiration for me since I was 13 and people usually become more acceptable.
