~What it would be in your language?~

One day I started to think about what Ayu's album and song names would be in Finnish. That was quite nice, and I thought why not make a thread about it? :3 And because I love to know about other languages, this is going to be fun!
[Sadly English speakers can't participate, but you guys can make some comments and stuff~]

So the rules are simple:
1. List Ayu's album names/singles/songs in your language, with the original English name.
2. There isn't any limit. You can list as much/little the names you want.
3. It must not be word to word translation. If there are some words or pun that can't be translated, or it would sound funny in your language, it's okay to use creativity!~
4. However try to keep the original meaning as much as possible.
5. You can also tell some extra information about some words/meanings etc. used in your language if you wanna! ^__^

So, let's start to learn different languages with Ayu!~

Albums:
Laulu tuntemattomalle* [A Song For XX]
* laulu = song//tuntemattomalle = to the unknown person
I'm not using "xx" in this because it would look like this:
xx:lle and that isn't very pretty, is it? Finnish uses a lot of case suffixes, that's why it's used like that~

RAKKAUSmestyy* [LOVEppears]
* rakkaus = love/(il)mestyy = appears
well this sounds pretty stupid in Finnish : P

Työ/Velvollisuus* [Duty]
* It depends which one is the meaning. Työ is more like in the case of working and velvollisuus is more like responsibility for something.
(Minä) olen...* [I am...]
* I = minä/olen = am
In Finnish you can leave "I" out of the whole sentence if you want. "olen" tells that it's the singular 1st person. I can't explain this very well..^^;

SATEENKAARI* [RAINBOW]
* Sateen= rain(s)** kaari = bow
**"sateen" is actually possessive suffix form of "sade" = rain

Muistettava osoite/ Muistoaddressi/kirjoitus [Memorial Address]
* Muistettava = Memorial// address = osoite**
**First ones meaning is like "an address I must remember"
Second is an address you send to a person who's died.
I'm again confused with the meaning. Does she mean like and address that she must to remember or that kind of "address" you send to a died person?

(MINUN) TARINANI* [MY STORY]
* Again, it's the same phenomenon as in "I am..." You can leave "minun" off if you want to.
(Väärin)ymmärretty [(Miss)understood]
* Väärin** = miss//ymmärretty = understood
** can also mean "wrong"
I'm really happy that this pun works in Finnish~ At least partly : P

Salaisuus [Secret]
This sounds so pretty in Finnish I think~
SYYLLINEN* [GUILTY]
Interestingly this is a derivative from Finnish word for reason, syy
SEURAAVA TASO (UUSI TASO)* [NEXT LEVEL]
* seuraava = next/level = taso
** Uusi = new
I Included alternative, because if you say in Finnish that "Someone take x thing in to whole next level" we actually say "Someone take x thing in to whole new level" it's just more common~

Rakkauslauluja [Love Songs]
Lol, in Finnish this sounds like Jari Sillanpää album X,D

Songs:
Luottamus [Trust]
TULLA* [TO BE]
* "tulla" can also mean "come"]
Trauma [Trauma]
Haha, fooled you! : P
Peilillinen Maailma [Mirrorcle World]
peilillinen = mirrorcle (try to say that one!) maailma = world
** Interestingly, maailma has two Finnish words comibined into one = maa = ground and ilma = air

kohtalo [fated]
kimmellys [glitter]
Yhdessä kun... [Together when...]
Together = yhdessä// when = kun
uudelleenSYNTYMÄ [reBIRTH]
uudelleen = re/again// syntymä = birth
Rakkauden merkitys [meaning of Love]
rakkaus = love /merkitys = meaning**
**"merkitys" is derivative from merkki = mark

Älä katso taaksesi [Don't look back]
Älä = don't // katso = look// taaksesi = at your back
Hyppää! [Jump!]
KUU [MOON]
Yeah, I know what some Kuu fans are thinking
anteeksianto [forgiveness]
anteeksi = forgive anto = to give, to let
ILOTULITUS* ~episodi II~ [HANABI ~episode II~]
*Interestingly the word to word translation for Finnish term of fireworks is "Happy fireshooting"
Silta taivaalle [Bridge to the sky]
Silta = bridge// taivaalle = to the sky
kaikkialla ei missään [Everywhere nowhere]
kaikkialla = everywhere// ei missään= nowhere
Hyräillen 7/4 [Humming 7/4]
hyräillen = to hum
this is pretty cute in Finnish~

Sieppaaja valossa [Catcher in the light]
catcher = sieppaaja// valossa = in the light
JALOKIVI* [JEWEL]
* Literal translation would be "fine stone"
ASKELLUS sinuun* [STEP you]
* we thought this a long time with my sis, and this was best one we could come with. Since it's completely Engrish, it is quite funny in it's own right but well~
This isn't accurate translation. It means Step into you accurate would be "ASKEL sinä" but that's just stupid XD

Kukkatarha [Flower garden]
kukka = flower tarha = garden
So pretty~<3

TAIVAS [HEAVEN]
Ylpeys [Pride]
Nuket [Dolls]
rikollinen [criminal]
a derivative from rikkoa "to break something"
Maailmanloppu [End of the World]
Maailman = world's// loppu =end
sanaakaan sanomatta* [no more words]
* This is more like "without saying any words" ei enää sanoja is more accurate one.
aamunkoitto/sarastus [Daybreak]
both mean the same thing.
literal translation for aamunkoitto is morning's coming
.
EI ENÄÄN KOSKAAN [NEVER EVER]
Rakkain [Dearest]
Loppumaton uni* [Neverending dream]
Ikusuuden* uni* [Everlasting dream]
* ikuisuus= everlasting
* loppumaton= neverending// dream= uni
Neitsytmatka [Voyage]
Literal translation would be "Virgin travel"

^I have to say, "Laulu tuntemattomalle" is an interesting translation, I wouldn't have come up with that first. It's a good one too, though I might rather go with "Laulu hänelle", because I think it implies more clearly that the song is targeted at someone. But there's nothing wrong with your translation, I think it depends on how one interprets the lyrics.

But now that I started writing here, I guess I'll have to throw in a couple of translations of my own. Here goes nothing...

(neiti)ymmärretty
(miss)understood
Sounds a bit dumb, doesn't it? I think this is the best translation Finnish language can offer, it's just too bad that the sort-of pun of miss understood/misunderstood can't really be translated into Finnish.

SEURAAVA TASO
NEXT LEVEL
I think this sounds pretty.

Keinumis- ja pyörimissirkus / Kivi- ja pyörimissirkus (rock=keinua/kivi, roll=pyöriä)
Rock'n'Roll Circus

As literal as a translation can possibly be. XD Maybe I'm the only one who finds it funny that "rock'n'roll" can easily be interpreted as something completely other than the music genre. If you want a less literal translation, it'd be "Rock'n'Roll-Sirkus". But isn't that a lot more boring.

Sinun takiasi
Because of You

Neitsyttie
Virgin Road
Finns LOVE combining words, we have tons of words that are written together whereas in other languages they would be separate.

Silta taivaaseen (silta=bridge, taivas=sky)
Bridge to the Sky

I think it's funny that the title has only two words in Finnish while it's four in English. It's because 'taivaaseen' (to the sky) has the ending '-seen' (the basic form of the word sky would be 'taivas') which implies heading for somewhere. In English this is done with prepositions, but in Finnish it's slapped at the end of the world.

Yes, you can also translate it that way, but I think that it's impossible to put both of those meanings ('miss' as in 'a female person' and 'miss' as in 'not understood correctly') in one short translation. This double meaning is what makes it so tricky to translate 'perfectly'. But if you DO come up with that, I'll hail you and worship the ground you walk on. \o/ Lol.

I think it's fun to think rock'n'roll more literally when you're listening to the album. ;3 I'd sure like to see how it would literally be in other languages.

Heavenly: I have no idea why you're saying French makes the titles sound fugly. I think some of them sound cooler in French! For example, "surréaliste" sounds great (if my inner voice is pronouncing it correctly... I've never studied French)!

It's interesting, but honestly, i don't want to translate titles in French, it would sound soooo stupid and fugly >_< And since some Ayu's titles are pure Engurish, it doesn't mean anything
For example, Memorial address, doesn't mean anything in French, with a word-to-word translation, it would be "Adresse Commémorative" ... really ugly... sounds better in english XD

BUT some titles (meaningfull) are quite "normal" :
RAINBOW = Arc-en-ciel (yeah, like the visual-kei band XD)
I am... = Je suis...
(miss)understood = (in)comprise [the pun with "miss" and "mis-" can't be translated]
GUILTY = coupable
Virgin Road = route vierge
Because of You = À cause de toi
HEAVEN = Paradis
Endless sorrow = Chagrin Infini
is this LOVE? = Est-ce de l'amour ?
ourselves = Nous-mêmes

etc...

And some words are almost or exactly the same in French XD :
evolution = évolution
independant = indépendant
Voyage = voyage
Moments = moments
INSPIRE = inspire (from "inspirer" ... )
Marionette = marionnette (yeah don't know why only 1 "n" ... )
Microphone
BALLAD = Ballade
montage
LABYRINTH = labyrinthe
Secret
criminal = criminel
vogue
SURREAL = surréaliste
Prologue
SIGNAL
Present = Présent (it means the same ... the gift or the tense)

Voilà ^^

歌のxx means "A song's XX", not a song for xx, so I would translate that as.. xxの歌 (A song of XX) or xxに歌 (a song to XX) or something

あなたと言って means like.. "when talking about you", or "about you", but I'm not sure if "because of you" has a perfect translation without any context. Perhaps simply あなたから. But without context it's pretty fail.

甘いの頃, you can leave out the の because 甘い is an i-adjective, therefor links directly to the noun without a の. Also perhaps 季節 (きせつ) is a better word for "season" since Ayu uses it in her lyrics all the time.

Sorry for this but I just hope it'll help you!

The last line of the song is the title: いつかのその日まで...

Frankly..most of your 'translations' are somewhat nonsensical and devoid of proper nuances. Maybe stick to a language you know?

いつかの is "someday". "その日まで..." would be the correct one (I don't know why I didn't think of that ). But you didn't have to criticize me so harshly. >_>

I'm sorry to correct you once again... hope you don't mind ^^
The ~for TA~ part for RED LINE would be TAのため "TA no tame", I think.
JEWEL would be 宝石 "houseki", Days would be something more like 日々 "hibi" (that little sign means repetition and therefore is used for making plurals) and neverending dream should be 終わらない夢 "owaranai yume" (you wrote this one almost perfectly! ).

I've seen neverending dream written as Owarinai Yume [終わりない夢](Like the Nanase Aikawa song)! But that's just me! But other than that, thank you!

A Song for XX could also be written in Katakana "エイソングフォー××" (Ei songu fo kakeru kakeru [xx]).

Wow, cool thread I'll go to translate her album titles into italian language.

A Song for XX: Una canzone per XX / Una canzone per uno sconosciuto
Literaly means A Song for XX. Una (A) canzone (song) per (for) XX. But it doesn't sound that good, so it would sound more nicer Una canzone per uno sconosciuto (A song for a stranger).

LOVEppears: AMOREappare
AMORE (love) appare (appears). Lol it sounds so lame and funny in italian language.

Duty: Dovere
Nothing strange here.

I am...: Io sono...
Io (I) am (sono).

RAINBOW: Arcobaleno
Aww it is adorable even in italian lol.

Memorial Address: Discorso commemorativo
This is hard to translate, but overall would be Discorso (Address) Commemorativo (Memorial). And it sounds better in english.

MY STORY: La mia storia.
La mia (MY) storia (story). Storia can be used as story and history both in italian.

(miss)understood: Signorina Incompresa / (in)compresa
If you count the word jokes with miss + misunderstood, would be Signorina (Miss) Incompresa (misunderstood). A really cute title imo, really 50s (during '50s/60s we used to call every famous girl, Signorina + what she's famous for. For example, the woman who announce tv programs during evening was called 'Signorina Buonasera' (Miss Good-evening). And we still use it, but not so often). But if you translate without the joke it's just incompresa (feminine for misunderstood).

Secret: Segreto.
It sounds nice

GUILTY: Colpevole
Another nice title

NEXT LEVEL: Prossimo Livello / Livello Superiore.
It means Prossimo (Next) Livello (Level). But it's used for videogames most, if you reach a new level. So Livello Superiore sounds better and it means what Ayu want to express with NL album. It means something new, something different and maybe better than before.

Rock 'n' Roll Circus: Circo Rock 'n' Roll.
Lol well, nothing changes from english version. Just the word Circus -> Circo.

Love songs: Canzoni (songs) d'amore (of love)
_________

The songs that sounds more nice in italian, for me:

HOPE or PAIN: Speranza (Hope) o (or) Dolore (Pain).
blossom: bocciolo
MOON: Luna
Bridge to the Sky: Ponte (Bridge) verso (to) il (the) Cielo (Sky).
HEAVEN: Paradiso
JEWEL: Gioiello
Pride: Orgoglio
HONEY: Miele
Dolls: Bambole
Flower Garden: Giardino (Garden) Fiorito (Flower, but we use Fiore for flower itself)

lol sorry for the very long post

This~
