Your biggest Ayu disappointments

Curtain Call, the preview sounded promising but when I heard the full thing I kinda hated it.

My biggest disappointment that I can remember is that she didn't put the Bold & Delicious performance from CDL in the 50 Singles DVD collection. And Hotel Love Songs tour being cancelled, but that's more understandable.

album Secret, it took me a long time to appreciate some tracks, I still have problem with some tracks, 1 LOVE is the one I cant tolerate

I agree with you! Secret was a big disappointment to me and it's taken me years to start to like it. It was because of that album that I kinda stopped being a hardcore fan, but came back with Love Songs... ( but I continued to buy all her stuff, lol)
Another disappointment would have to be no more CREA, I woould love LOVE to bring her back!!

Secret. To this day it's my least favourite album from her. It's the main reason I took a break from her for a while (came back after A COMPLETE came out).

I listen to Secret every now and then to see if I can like it more but it just doesn't work. I find myself almost switching to a different album on my ipod halfway through :/

You said it! Worked just like that with me and the Secret album, and when Love songs came out I started loving Ayu again..

- NEXT LEVEL, I still like it more than MY STORY and FIVE but I remember hearing reports that she was going back to her old LOVEppears sound but that wasn't the case.

There are just two disappointments for me. And they're called: Days and my name's WOMEN.

Luckily there's a orchestra ver. for Days, so I can tolerate it. But for my name's WOMEN

- no more Crea
- Some tracks on GUILTY (but it really grown on me from back then)
- NEXT LEVEL album (now i "like it" but i remember how dissapointed i feel)
- 48-49-50 singles (ballads, medium, ballads, ballads... but I still like all of them

Just for that occasion i was waiting for something more special)
- Secret covers.

I am always also dissapointed when something is realesed and it's a 21873892173812738217 ballad or medium.

I remember also HOW dissapointed I was especially for "identity" and "Love & Hate" songs. They BOTH sounded so good on previews and then they was just.. ok. The first secods of L&H makes me "OMG this is gonna be a bomb" and then it makes me "I dont want to live on this planet anymore."

OMG yes...I felt when I heard those songs that it was a new low by Ayu, that she's above those sort of songs. Thank god she got it out of her system.

Well, it's obvious... R'n'R Circus album. Sexy little things and Lady Dynamite PV screenshots looked so promising. Don't look back was boring as all Hell. I don't think I've ever made it through Meaning of Love. The interludes are complete trash (minus "The Introduction"). At least Microphone gets a 10/10 for me.

I had braced myself for FIVE so I'm not as disappointed with this release, as my hopes were not so high... but never-the-less, it is still a disappointing release. Just nowhere near as disappointing as R'n'R Circus.

I will say I thought (miss)understood was disappointing when I received it after Christmas, but that's because I listened to every single preview and I wasn't the biggest fan of some of the album tracks. But over time, I have come to love the album as a whole and it is probably in my top 2 albums.

Oh my gosh, the quality in my name's WOMEN is outstanding! I'd kill for Ayu to have that kind of quality and production in her music again.

FIVE is probably the most disappointing thing ever for me, lol. Especially ANother song. Mirrorcle World's PV was incredibly disappointing, but I'd rather watch that than anything on FIVE.

Naked Talk was also really disappointing.

GUILTY, NEXT LEVEL, and Rock'n'Roll Circus were also disappointing. It's not that I don't like the songs on them, but GUILTY was the first album where, after the first listen, I just didn't really feel like listening to any of the songs again. NEXT LEVEL really bores me as an album and Rock'n'Roll Circus was the first time in a REALLY long time that the production on her songs just started sounding really crappy (count down, Last Links, Sunrise ~LOVE is ALL~). Those three albums are still all near the bottom of my list, though I'd actually probably listen to them before Duty or I am... since I've heard those albums 5 million times.

I thought LOVE 'n' HATE was gonna be an AWESOME song but the full thing is so boring. It's probably my least listened to Ayu song overall. >_< (That's good though, because now I can spam it when I want something new from Ayu.

I never applaud this song. It's ok, but freakn' boring.

THIS SO MUCH. I really don't get the hype for that song. I always skip it because it bores me out.

I was actually really excited when I heard there was a bonus track on FIVE, but when I listened to it & realized it was a remix I got pretty irritated.

& even though I love Sunrise ~LOVE is ALL~ I was expecting more from it when I heard the previews.

EDIT: I forgot to mention I did feel a little disappointed with NEXT LEVEL's release over all...
