Random but relevant. Ayu's Fly High remix played in a club in Scotland!

I know it's not major news, but it really made my night =P

I was attending an Asian night in a major nightclub here in Aberdeen, Scotand. It was open to the general public, but was promoted mainly to the Asianz here, but I popped along anyway. It was mostly k-pop with a few some chinese songs too, but "Fly High" by Ayumi came on too!!! I was soooo excited! It just shows that Ayumi still has a big influence =D

This. Fly high is nice to listen to, but I don't really imagine myself getting crunk to it lol.

I don't think my dislike of a genre that I find woefully subpar is uncalled for, especially since I'm not trying to create any drama or personally go after people who dislike it. It doesn't do anything for me, so I was sorry to hear that most of the songs played that night were Kpop. That's it.

ETA: I don't feel attacked, by the by, I just wanted to make my comment more well-rounded in case someone thought I was trying to just be a grey raincloud.

That's so cool! There's a Japanese restaurant in my city that plays a mix of modern J-pop and occasionally they play Dearest or M.

here too they played SEASONS and Days once.

Anyway that's cool. I wish Ayu could played much more often in clubs. I know there's a club here in Italy that play japanese music sometimes (around summer) but they're anime openings, j-rock or Miku Hatsune's stuff mostly.

I love me some k-pop! The Wonder Girls, Big Bang, Brown Eyed Girls and more were all played heavily. Oh and it was the remix of "Fly High" from Ayu Trance that was played. It sounded pretty epic in a club actually lol.

The night was a big success so they are already planning the next one =)

You mean that awesome kick ass "VooDoo&Serrano remix"? I wish I heard it on Finnish radio someday~

I seriously don't understand this k-pop bashing that's been occurring quite a lot here as the popularity for that grows. :< Oh well, it's your opinion.

It was indeed! I wasn't sure what to expect when going along as the DJ that was on was just a normal DJ that didn't have a clue about Asian music and just played what was given to him. On the run up to the night, people requested mainly k-pop on the facebook page, but Ayumi did get a mention. I didn't expect for the DJ to actually have it though =D

That's so cool - though I'd prefer some remixes to Fly High. She doesn't get played where I live in Scotland (but then again we only have 2 clubs lol).

That is really cool! I wish they would play some Ayu in clubs here in the US. I'd be more inclined to go out to them. xD
