Ayu's eyes get smaller

is it just me or do u think that ayu's eyes nowadays is smaller than say back in the days of A Best....is it her make-up or are her eyes actually smaller with age??

There've been a few discussions about this before as to whether she had some surgery or if her eyes changed since a kid, but my guess is that her eyes can change all the time if she wears different make-up (just compare her in the recent Vivi Magazine with another pic). I still find it amazing how make-up can change a person, both in terms of beauty and how old (or young) a person looks. Yep, just look at Toula in "My Big Fat Greek Wedding." At the beginning of the movie the makeup artists made her look MUCH older than she actually was by making her skin pale with a few dark spots and wrinkles, but when she met Ian the makeup artists made her look MUCH younger than a "thirtysomething" woman. Just wearing foundation on your face can take years of aging away.

Ayu's eyes haven't changed. In fact, I was showing my mom a VCD I made of Ayu's live performances from the Idol On Stage days all the way up to her Itsuka no Merry Christmas performance with Gackt. I quote her, "Her eyes look the exact same size as they did when she was a teenager, she's just opening them up more at certain times." Perhaps the photo-retouchers/airbrushers for magazines are becoming lazy and don't want to enhance her eye size anymore. Or maybe the natural look is what's "in" nowadays.

haha...in fact i find her looking pretty tired on some mag shots lately....she's just overworking her self...

if u look at some of her live performance..u can actually see the big eye bag she has beneath her make up

I think they are the same, but they have always been big due to sergery (in opinion) but I think since she has been a singer, they have been the same.

I think they're the same. If you haven't noticed, Ayu's most maked-up parts are her eyes. That's why they stand out so much

I do believe it's her makeups... in A BEST she wore a LOT of makeups around her eyes, but more recently it's been far more conservative &natural, which I like better anyways.

talkin about ayu's make it..i think she uses fake eye lashes a lot~

hth0923: i think most hollywood stars that u see...male/female...wears make up..not only just on their face...but any part of the body that u can see...ie hands, legs..etc

of course face make up and say body make up can be very different material/medium

I agree with you completely about fake eyelashes, because I have seriously never seen an Asian person with eyelashes or ones that long.I'm not saying it isn't possible, it's just that I haven't seen.

whoa.. that makeup site is awesome, it shows how much it can transform a person! (I wonder what a huge makeover like that would make me look like o.o) Even with movie stars like Gwyneth Paltrow, her eye makeup look vs. non-eye makeup look are sooooo different! Her eyes look alot smaller without makeup..

Also Ayu is a few years older now, so she may be just looking more mature.
