This seller jacks up the price of everything he has. I'm sure people have gotten the same items for less cost by waiting for a less greedy seller.

Yeah but they were probably bootlegs. At least these look authentic!

I'm talking about authentic items as well. All you need to do is wait it out, because a lower price will come along. The seller has an endless supply of Ayumi items (so it seems) and s/he incrementally raises the price each time he sells the same item.

alot of these particular items are harder for US fans to get cuz they NEVER show up on ebay... they may show up on japanese auction sites but that requires the use of a middleman to ship them to you and that ends up being MUCH more expensive than this seller's prices.

I would buy if my work had called me

I usually buy things to a.showcase though, cause I'm ordering from france without credit card and he always accepts my payment and combine shipping

The price for the live box set is too high. I got it new w/ all 4 DVDs from someone on Ebay for $150.00 (and they were originals, not bootlegs.)

Ayumi showcases prices are high, but people buy most of it, so why not?
Btw, this auction you linked is very suspect

Region free + English subtitles? (The original doesn't have english subs)

ANYTHING that's Reigon 0 with English subs is a bootleg. In fact, things that are Reigon 0 are rarely produced by any large company. That's been my experience, anyway.

A year ago, I bought what I believed to be a Japanese Naruto DVD, and a One Piece movie DVD. I thought I was getting a good dieal from my local anime shop, but then getting the DVD's home and playing them, I realized I had truely been ripped off. The One Piece DVD had come from Hong Kong, and also contained Chinese subs. While granted, it was in Japanese, the English subtitles turned from acceptable at the start of the movie, and then to incoherent drivel.

'what was that? while
we were starting the
race it
seemed that they ahead
how do you think?'

Now...maybe I'm just crazy, but that hardly seems understandable to me!

Then, the Naruto DVD turned out to be similar in subtitle quality, only the grammar was better taken care of. But this DVD happened to have, printed on the disc, an EMAIL ADDRESS where I could order more DVD's from!

Needless to say, that anime store doesn't have me queueing up to buy DVD's anymore
Buyers beware. This is just another case where someone who wasn't clued in on a simple thing like DVD reigons got taken for a sucker. I'd genuinely believed that I was getting original DVDs - the whole outside was in well-done cover work that looked totally official. And since it's Japanese you really don't think the potential reasons for having English subs through much - especially when English is a popular language for the people there, why would they not have English subs when it'd be a good learning tool for English learners?

Anyway, I'm rambling! ^_^ Basically, this auction sounds very suss to me. I wouldn't reccomend bidding unless this is the only chance in your life to pick these DVD's up. Otherwise, just hang out for a legit set to pop up <3

Does anyone realise this person is selling to make money as well? They buy at the original price and then raise it so they make a profit. Anyone know anything about business?

That same person has some MY STORY Tour hoodies & t-shirts for $150 & $80 bucks. I tried to raise the money for at least one of them but I just gave up. I wouldn't pay 150 bucks for a cotton hoody by ANYBODY unless I really had the money to. *Just thinking about it makes me angry, cuz I wanted it so much!*

Ayumi_showcase buys things for Yahoo! Japan auctions for really cheap and then sells things for about 5 times the cost, I've lost items to him/her many times. Don't buy for him/her, the prices are rediculous! Find yourself a middle man!

I buy a lot of stuff from ayumi_showcase and I still plan to but I think I might also start buying to resell the stuff a lot cheaper.

There was an auction that I kept watch.

This seller was selling 20 SEALED singles.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

Too much for me to be honest, I've got most of the singles anyway.
