[News] VOTE for Ayu in the 56th Kouhaku!

I have read a newspaper today, it reported that Otsuka Ai now is more popular than AYU because of this result!! According to the result of first round of the voting in 56th Kouhaku, Ayu ranked no.21(Dearest) & no.23(SEASONS) only...... but Otsuka Ai ranked no.2 (sakurabo) and Namie Amuro ranked no.14 (CAN YOU CELEBRATE?)

So, let's vote for ayu NOW!! You just need to spend a few min.~~ It has not come to an end! (deadline: 31-10-2005)

The procedures are showing below:

1. Go to here: https://cgi2.nhk.or.jp/kouhaku/vote/send.cgi
2. Write down your e-mail address in the blanks and click enter.
3. Check your e-mail account, open the e-mail from NHK, click the link.
4. Choose "平成10年代" which is on the RIGHT hand side.
5. Then you can find "Dearest" (563) & "SEASONS" (553) and click the red buttons at the left.
6. Fill in the form at the right and then click "つぎへ". You only have to fill the columns that have red stars!!!
7. You need to fill in your gender, age and where you are staying in JAPAN... (you can just put anything in there - pick anything from the drop-down menu)

P.S: Each person can vote 3 songs and 1 new song (<-- i chose "HEAVEN")

I'm not sure if this matters but when you vote for HEAVEN (or another new ayu song) I think it's better if you copy and paste Ayu's Japanese name from the list rather than 'ayumi hamasaki' just in case the computer recognizes the name as some new artist.

I already voted for other artists like a week ago with my main email address I'll vote with my other email address for Ayu's SEASONS because I don't like Dearest.

[EDIT] Voted for SEASONS, Mika Nakashima's Yuki no Hana, Mai Kuraki's Love, after after tomorrow and Every Little Thing's Time goes by (not on the list). I voted for Morning Musume's LOVE MACHINE (which is currently #1), Ai's Sakuranbo and aiko's Kabutomushi last time. Using my other email address worked perfectly for me. I changed IP from last time I voted and cleared all my cookies...

sometimes i wonder if this voting really reflects the popularity (ahh... deja vu? I think I must have said this once somewhere else). IF the ranking really means the popularity of particular artists, then Morning Musume should be still freakin' popular now (and ah-ah this is false). And look at the numbers of voting rite now, it's not that really big (390K). It's only a small portion of people. I dun really know about statistics, but I assume most are from the age between 10 and er... 20? I assume people who still buy ayu cds are either really young (10 to 15?) or mature fans (like over 24-5 at least). So oh well all I have to say is that dun panic like the sky's gonna fall down. Besides, there's up and down in the music industry... So take it easy.

I'd imagine it is because the people voting on this poll are internet users and who makes up the majority of MM's fans?

Anyway, I voted for Love Machine, Dearest, and Can You Celebrate - that truly was a memorable Namie performance - she breaks down crying in the middle of the song.
