How many covers will be this time?

I'm curious how many covers will be released this time? I'm almost sure there will be 2 different covers at least: 1 for CD version and 1 for CD+DVD version.

I hope Avex will not release 5 versions of cover art this time (like for MY STORY last year). I could understand few version of booklet covers in releases like: A BEST or A BALLADS (packed with paper box where booklet cover had be a surprise) but I hate marketing strategy like: "4 different covers - choose what u like"

I know someone could say that "it's only the cover - content of disc is most important" but I know also many fans care about details and if some release have few versions they really want to have all. Of course it's tie in with costs and not all could buy all 5 releases instead of 1

I think this multi-releases are take from that record factorys want to enlarge profits and compensate all eventually financially losses get out of that part of fans don't buying original stuff or buying only selectively. Releasing of few version of the same product psychologically incline fans to buy more than 1 copy of album or single (CD and CD+DVD version). Idea is working because more than 36% fans buying both version of singles and more than 54% ppls bought more than 1 version of MY STORY album whereof approx. 6% bought all 5 version

I rather like the multiple cover idea... because if I'm dissatified with one, theres always a chance I will like the other

But I totally get you, although personally... I want another 5 cover thing XD Looking at her recent singles, there will definately be atleast 2 different covers. Most probably 5 different ones in total. Btw I want a carboard slipcase like Koda Kumi's best album had! (a big one for CD+DVDs)

very true....mutiple is a lot...maybe 2 would be okay for the CD+DVD version or what Demure_Dusk said about the a different cover for the CD+DVD and CD.....or like Koda Kumi's 'Best' album, different covers for first press CD+DVD, regular CD+DVD, and regular CD

Yes that would be a good idea too. The multiple cover of MY STORY was too much.. and caused a lot of frustration among fans.

it's the die-hard fans' fault to buy all her covers; it's their own choice.

Well... I have them from my Tokyo friend - he found them in press It was short article in one of daily papers released on march or april this year (I don't remember when it was exactly) about marketing startegy of big record factorys like Avex. There where stats how releasing of multiple covers help with sale and there was also small stats of MY STORY sales. It was wrote at the end that source of all infos (stats) is Avex Trax.

I think this infos are reliable. The best profe is that if u check old post here on forum where members talking about how many copys of MY STORY they bought or order u will see that so many ppls bought at least 2 copys.

Personally I think that release of 2 covers is enough: 1 for CD only and 1 for CD+DVD. Maybe multiple covers are ok if u'r buying at music store and could choose ur fave but many members here is fall back at coincidence when buying at on-line shops. I'm gonna order CD+DVD version and I hope there will be only 1 cover.. only 1..

Only 2 I hope. One for CD only ver and one for the CD+DVD set. The covers must look great, with a good original style not a i'm-trying-to-be-sexy-with-pink-lipstick style.

It doesn't say anything in the descriptions on the sites about multiple covers yet, so we'll see.. Personally, I think 2 is enough.

I don't really mind the multiple cover thing...but I hate when I have a favorite and I get my least favorite because I ordered it online and they just send a random one. I wish I was able to pick my favorite cover and that is the one they send me.

I'm also hoping that there will only be different covers for the CD and CD+DVD versions. I order online and couldn't choose the MY STORY cover I'd get; I hated being sent my least favourite of them.

I'm with K... multiple covers are getting old and i really just want one this time x_x that and it makes the header thumbnail for my site really hard to pick o_O
