　オリコンが今年9月より新たにスタートしたWEB音楽番組『ORICON TOP20』。その視聴者300万人が選んだ第1回『BEST ARTIST 2005』の発表記者会見と表彰式が12月21日、東京・汐留のロイヤルパーク汐留タワーにて開催され た。
　本賞は、CDセールスのみならず、ライフスタイルやファッションなど多岐にわたり、今年1年で社会に最も 影響を与えたと思われるアーティストをオリコンユーザーにアンケート調査し、ランキングにしたもの。その栄 えある第1回のNo.1の座に輝いたのは、今年大きな飛躍をみせた歌姫、倖田來未。同会見の表彰式に登場し た彼女は、今年1年の活動を振り返り、来年についても語った。

　2005年は初めてのことばかりだったという彼女。ファンクラブ設立、コンサートツアーの実施、ベスト盤 リリース、チャート1位獲得、ミリオンセールス達成など、これらすべて今年1年での出来事だ。今回の『BE ST ARTIST 2005』受賞に関しては、「サプライズのあるエンターテインメントを常に発信しようとしていたことが、こ うした結果につながったと思います」と、スタッフと力をあわせて努力した結果としながらその喜 びを語った。

　そして、これから年末にかけての活動に関しては、注目が集まるNHK紅白歌合戦について「幅広い年齢層に 見られている番組ですから、お母さん世代の女性にカッコいいと思われるパフォーマンスをしたいですね」とし 、気になる衣装は「NHKの方からは倖田さんらしい格好で来て下さいといわれているので、いつもの自分らし くします」。衣装のテーマはチラリズムとし、「くるっとまわってふわふわしそうな素材を使います！」と注目 されている衣装の一部を明らかにした。

　一方、来年の展開については、「12週連続リリースのほかにもまだまだやりたいプロジェクトがたくさんあ り、それをひとつずつ見える形に残したい」とし、さらに「今年1年、ファンのみんなにいろいろ助けてもらい 、愛をもらった恩返しに、今度は倖田來未のビューティープロデュースのような形で、みんながきれいになるの を手助けして恩返ししたい」と語る。
　“エロかっこいい”として多くの女性からの支持を集めた彼女だが、来年は、それをプロデュースしていくと いう新たな顔をみせていく。もちろん、音楽的な追求も来年の彼女のテーマに入っている。
　BEST ARTISTに輝いた彼女の来年の新たな展開には、早くも熱い期待が集まっている。

I actually thought mike would win it, given she had the NANA movie and everything, but I guess ORICON doesn't count the general impact of the artist, but the impact in music
