Thoughts on the Born to Be... PV

I haven't seen it yet but the only comment I've heard about it is that it is the worst Ayu PV yet. O_O

I still don't think anything can beat DAYBREAK.

[btw, PV is out at jpopsuki and I'm getting it right now]

I think that the PV could've used a little more 'Ayu' but then again, with all the Ayu material being leaked out it's like 'WOAFHASDHASDASd'. I really like the PV, but I wish I could see better! x.x I wonder if the DVD will be as shiny :p

Many people might dismiss this as 'ew' cause of the overly shinyness.. but I think the lights behind her are the 'beliefs and dreams' of all those around the world.. like the kids and stuff who're lipping words.. in English.. maybe..

i think it's the worst ayu pv ever

i'm so disappointed... since months ( do i hav to say a year ...) ayu's releases are really *uh * bad bad and bad...

i was so involved in ayu but now .... i think she just release too much songs and all, doesn't take time ... so it's going worst and worst ...

I couldn't agree with you more!!! I believe she hit her peak at STEP you!

This pv was terrible, most uncreative PV ever, and even worse song!

its not that great imo, but I wouldnt call it the worst Ayu PV ever.
maybe the DVD version will not be as blurry

but Ayu looks gorgeous (at least from the few scenes where one can see through the lights)

with this PV the song seems even more football/soccer-ish

I can't believe they do such a messed up pv for such an important event!!!

Better than Daybreak anyway, if I count these points:

1) The lights are pretty- It even attracts those insects to my computer screen.
2) Ayumi is really pretty- She doesnt have raccoon make up and toilet tissue wrapped around her (Daybreak).
3) The water on the floor- Kinda copyish of Otsuka Ai's planetarium, but still very pretty.
4) The lights are disturbing- Final Destination 3's tanning scene anyone?

Overall: 7/10
She can obviously add more things in it. More Ayu's singing and running around with iPods perhaps?

I knew it would suck..Thank God I liked the Startin PV..coz if i didnt then i would've lost a lot of interest in Ayu..Oh Well..At least it wasnt like Dapybreak..*shivers*..I knda imagined it to be "triumphant-looking" with the choir..and with a lot of drums..and a big crowd cheering for Ayu..as if she was in the olympics..haha..my imagination goes wild again..

Reminds me of Linkin Park's Faint PV by the way..

It aint that bad...I like the way Ayu moved and the part where Ayu was in that flower dress...and also the sillouette part...It's just very nice....

Ayu isnt making any WOW PVs since HEAVEN (not that i dun like HEAVEN's PV)...I hope she can give us one in near future...of coz not one that costs too ex...and could she have better directors??

Actually, Ayu's PVs are becoming a little more low budget because Avex is pouring more money into Koda Kumi's projects (this is what my friend said is actually happening since my friend has been following Avex very closely for a long time).

Anyway, I didn't really like the PV "Born to Be..." that much. It kind of gave me a headache with the lights. Good idea and everything, but the lights could have given me a seizure.

I also wonder how they got those kids to be in the PV....hmmm. Must be so random for them to show up in a J-pop PV (especially if they don't know anything about J-pop )

That was rather boring. The only interesting thing to me would be the fat cook, the strange dancing guy (who seemed to like have come out of nowhere), and the drums.

it's just too bright. and it needs one more outfit change for ayu... additional scenes inserted between the bright lights scenes would make this PV better. it's just way too bright. I watched it two consecutive times and my eyes are now a bit blurry haha. Startin is much more fun to watc h. But this one is a bit better than Heaven. Ayu looks a lot better here than in Heaven.
