Wow. Apparently, the RIAJ is recognizing HEAVEN and CAROLS -original mix- as million sellers..

(in chaku uta sales, which are songs downloaded via a mobile phone)

I was getting ready to say, no way in hell the actual physical singles even broke anywhere near a million. Love Ayu, love most of her singles, but that'll never happen again.+ I don't know if she'll even approach & or Voyage sales again.

Hmm, I wonder too if Ayu could ever sell a million in singles. I say yes for another mini album, but she needs a maxi dance single or something with a load of nice tracks and then maybe she can sell a million. Or, I think an emotional song like Heaven with more tie-ins and then a million can be possible. I don't see a million single with her two new songs, I actually don't like them at all. She needs more quality music again.

I think that 'quality music' is something that differs from person to person.

It's just when a hit comes, it comes. I mean look at Boys&Girls.. that was kinda random for a million seller.. O_o

I don't think it was random for a million selling SUMMER HIT. It has everthing a summer hit should, and was an instant favourite of mine. It's really easy to sing along to (habatakidashita, kagayakidashita, really easy to remember), it's definetly catchy and cheerful and fun. Just like locolotion, sakuranbo, even mambo number 5 etc, I think it's a perfect summer hit. addicting carefree fun. It doesen't need lyrics even.

lol hey man you know better than to mislead people..."habatakidashita" doesn't necessarily have the same feel and connotation as "We flap." In fact, I'm certain of it lol. "We flap." should probably be like "We soar beating our wings upon the wind." or something

And besides that, you played it up so much you crazy dude, habatakidashita = began to flap wings, not "We flap." But omg lol kudos for playing it up, "We flap." is such a lame lyric in English hahahahaha.

That's more to do with whatever particular translation you are reading of it. Some of the earlier translations of her songs I think translated things a little too literally, that being one of them.

Really the better english lyric for that part is, "we began to fly."

i think if she got a tie-in with an actually *good* drama, she could sell a lot, especially if the drama is reeeally popular...but most of the popular dramas are tied in with Johnny's Entertainment groups -_-

but anyway, im glad her ringtone sales are good

and i want CAROLS as a ring tone :O
