about "over" lyric
http://www.ahsforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27184
am I the only one that instead of hearing "it's over" [when she says it, specially the last time], hears "it's overed"?? that word does not exist, but i'm sure i do not hear "it's over" clear. it's something more...

She says "It`s over". But kind of weird. She pronounces english words weird, most of the time. ... Correct me if I`m wrong

i know her english is not the best, but specially in this case, it's like she's saying another word. not that she pronounces wrong, because she could just say /ouva/ (well, this is not the best phonetic transcription, but the sort), which does not contain a single consonant at the end, the single consonants that drive crazy to japanese...

Well, the booklet says "it's over" so that the lyrics. Not "overed". Besides, Ayu wasn't so great in english back then. It's just bad pronounciation. There are certain words and sounds that most japanese can't say very well.

yes, perhaps bad pronuntiation, what's curious to me it's that overed would be the past tense form, if over would be a verb.
(but it would be likely and irregular verb, with the three froms the same pres. over past over past part. over... hihi english... ^^)

It's all thanks to the wonderful creation Engrish.

I'd probably still be in my room, but I'd be way less entertained by all the creations of wonder that the language in question has given us

it could be hard for she to said "over", japanese words don't have a consonant at last

She's just over emphasizing the area of the word and with that stress it sounds like there's an extra syllable.

Also, Japanese doesn't have the consonant "v". The r is said like a "ru".
I don't know how a katakanaized Engrish version of the word would be spelled, but I'm quite sure it'd be way off compared to the real word. |

And the "r" often sounds like an "l". So it would be "obelu".

"Over" in Japanese pronounciation would actually sound and be written as "Obaa" (オバー).

haha i guess ayu did not purposely pronounce it that way... its probably due to her Engrish that made it sound like "It's over-ed"
