How to make your own sig & ava???

i've seen sooooooo many beautiful sigs and avas here on ahs (of course including biscuitgirl's famous sigs & avas)..and i really wanna trying making a pro-looking one for myself too

wat programs d'u guys use?? i've no bkgr in dealing with computer graphics...how should i start? wat d'u experienced graphic designers recommend beginners to do??

i use photoshop to make them, but i'm just a beginner at it too.......

Photoshop is the Best tool to make sigs and avatars... im not so good at it too.

I agree photoshop is the best tool to make av's and sigs. There is another programn simlar to Photoshop that alot of people like to use but personally when I was starting out in Graphic Design I found Photoshop to be the easiest so go with that! ^_^

I use Photoshop. If you search Photoshop tutorials, there is a whole world out there that make beautiful designs in such very simple step by step

Photoshop is a $500 program, just to warn you. If you decide to download a pirated (illegal) version of it and it crashes your computer, you won't be able to find someone to fix it, as pirated software is illegal. The downloads from download.com and adobe.com, however, are free 30 day trials and I highly recommend you try them!

That said, Photoshop, if you decide to get it, is an awesome program. That's the only program I use for signatures. I'm learning to use some other 3D programs as well, but for signatures, Photoshop is the way to go. Don't worry if your first stuff looks poor. Mine definitely did. It just takes time and practice. I don't even know where I got my photoshop program from O.o It does take a while to expiriment and learn how to use it, but the results cvan be really nice ^_^ I've had mine for a while, but I'm lazy and keep my sigs simple
