Yeah, CDTV did their annual poll again. XD Ayu placed #5. She dropped two places since last year. I will be putting her previous rankings from previous years after the ranking itself.

Well, being #5 after 10 years of career is so damn good. Ayu's not a teenager anymore, so people chosing her as the best girlfriend is because Japan still loves her

So congrats to ayu *and congrats to Ai-chan as well lolz*

BTW, truehappiness, isn't Ai-chan #3??

Aw Ai only made it to third this time =( Oh well I guess She can't be first all the time. NEXT YEAR Ai WILL TAKE BACK HER #1 SPOT AGAIN XD! At least she lost it to YUI who is REALLY popular atm so makes sense. I dunno who the other person is =S!

Yeah, it looks as if Ayu is the most consistent of all artists. Despite some people getting no.1 a few times, Ayu's never fallen beyond the point of #4 back in 1999. :O~

Koda on the other hand has never gotten higher than #8.

Well hikki was on the list during 2000, she really doesn't look like a girl that the guys will scream out "kawaiiiiiiiiiii" tho. Probly she's not really a typical Japanese, so she doesn't have that kawaii attitude (e.g., Ai-chan). In addition, she is not that feminine (e.g., ayu). So it's really hard to see her on the list. I'm surprised tho to see YUI as no. 1 for the last three polls... Is she that "hot" or "kawaii"???

Kuu mainly attracts female I think. I remember someone pointed out that Japanese girls think that kuu is cool and many of them view kuu as a role model. On the other hand, Japanese guys think kuu is too "offensive".. Guys love kawaii girls in Japan.

And reading the list I finally understand why CHEMISTRY is doing bad as time goes on... I always thought people buying CHEMISTRY albums because of their voices, but judging Douchin's ranking during 2001 to 2003 it seems like he did attract loads of girl fans. His marriage must have shocking lots of girls I suppose...

Back to the topic. I think ayu will be back to top 3 pretty soon as soon as the 10th yr anniversary rocks on..

Yeah, this is pretty much the reason. I spent the summer in Japan and still maintain many friendships with some of the Japanese people I worked with and who go to school here, and the boys all said that Japanese boys like cute girls and notsomuch the hot ones. For some reason, Japanese girls like hot girls more and imitate them, but the boys don't like that.
