not really, after all it's extended lol. i would only consider exact same song(or very minor changes)from album redistribute as single a recut.

Well, Daybreak single is an album cut and it sounds totally different from the original.

Answering to the question, it's really hard to define. The title has changed from Mirror to Mirrorcle World, the song is now an extended version (even though even an extended version of an album song can be considered an aklbum cut).

We'll have a definite answer when her next album is released. If Mirrorcle World is featured on it, then it wasn't a GUILTY's album cut. If it doesn't, then it was.

I agree with you. but even if it doesn't appear on her next album, i consider MW as a new song. I know it's "only" and extended version, but she re-recorded it, it has new lyrics, it will have a PV, it'll be released as a single, so i think it kinda has left his GUILTY origins in the past

the excerpt lyrics from the MIRROR track have been kept though and weren't renewed. And the Daybreak album cut earned Daybreak a chance to have a PV.

^ Yes, i know. MW conserves Mirror's lyrics, but with the addition of more lyrics, i think it turns into a new song.

As far as i know, a recut would have been to take a song, re record it and sell it. Maybe i'm wrong though

Sure, the song was on GUILTY in a shorter form, but this one has completely new sections added and a recut is usually the same song, with little to look forward to on a single other than an instrumental of the recut.

Well, ai otsuka made an album cut that completely revamped one of her album songs, and it also had new songs on it. None of those made it to her next album. The song also had a slightly title change from 黒毛和牛上塩タン焼735円 to 黒毛和牛上塩タン焼680円. I really consider 黒毛和牛上塩タン焼680円 an album cut, rathwer than a brand original single.

not really...i mean, if we want to be technical, I'm sure there are some areas where it would definitely be considered one, but then there are areas where it isn't. it's resung, new lyrics, new music, 1 new song, 2 resung/mixed songs, etc. iunno, i don't really care either way I'm still wicked excited for it xD
