Red face Ayu in other languages?

Would you really like to see Ayu release songs in other languages?

At first the idea sounds cool... but then think about it...

Im Greek/Egyptian so i listen to a lot of Greek and Arabic music too... When Greek singers release a song in english - it usualy sucks. The words are so corny and there isnt as much feeling in the voice of the singer. Yet, when you hear the same song, but sung in their native language - suddenly its full of emotion and so much stronger because of it.

Perfect example (its a bit old song now but still) :

English Version: "CALL ME" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=algXWhcv3Ls
Greek Version: "EISAI" (You) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7b-wZwLENE

I dunno - this is just what i think i guess, but i would prefer to hear Ayu singing in Japanese and to be proud of it. There is no need to start singing into other languages.

{I know i will get flamed for it, but even some of Hikki's english songs are pretty ordinary, while her Japanese ones are great}

What do you think?

*sorry to post links to another artist in an ayu forum but i think it proves my point >.<

^I dunno if this is been discussed or not, but this issue has really been brought to discussion by the announced Chinese version of Who... so those threads would be where you want to look.

Ayumi singing in Greek? o_O I can't see that xD

"H8ela na sou pw..." xD she could translate her songs

But, I like her singing in Japanese...her lyrics really come through clearer that way. If they were in English, I think avex would want to change them a lot to "cater" to the markets. =[

"Who" in German? Oh... please, no. I wouldn't like it. I think, it would be a bad song!
I don't wanna Ayu sing songs in other languages. I love her songs, because it is in japanese. So.. I prefer her to sing in Japanese.

Hmmm yes i would love a English album. But as nomizo31 said when singing in another language the feeling is lost.I rememeber reading an article from Shakira and she said when she sings in Spanish that is where she has the real emotions.

1st up i know there are topic already that dance around this question but i thought i would come out and ask it up front...

I think Kaiouforever says a good point - she would write the japanese lyrics, then someone would come and translate it, you would lose half the meaning, and it would be useless... or she would sing pre-written songs... it would be horrible

I remember readin that article about shakira too~

No, it would not have the same effect. Using her own language is what makes everything in sync.

Ayumi27 and pbs1605 -- There have been covers of those songs (also with "appears") and they were sung in Spanish by Charm. But I don't know if you guys are talking about the same thing. I'm just throwing it out there.

But, yes, I'd love to hear Ayu sing in English again now that she's improved in the speaking language.

Would be nice listen Ayu sing in italian, for example a cover of 'Almeno tu nell'universo' (At least you in the universe) It's a beautiful and sad song, like Together When... or an original song.

But I'm happy if she used an italian word for an her song title, like Hitomi Shimatani she used 2 or more italain words for her titles. I like the word 'Piuma' (feather) for an her sweet ballad like JEWEL.
Japanese likes italian words as spanish words, I guess.

I'm sure about Dearest, but I think it was only the instrumental intro and the chorus, and I don't remember if it was actually Ayu or Charm who sang the M version
