Guys, I suddenly got an idea after seeing some "Your top 10..." threads, so I decide to make this one...

What's your top 10 best arranged songs?

What EXACTLY are arrangements again?

Yeah, what exactly arrangements lol. I only know they are how the instruments are used in a song, but that's about it. And if it's so, definitely not anything from the I am... album (maybe except for M and Dearest) because the songs inside are so layered and complicated that they sound noisy.

Actually I think that's what makes the I am.. album so great.

Now some her songs are so simple. Some of them are just boring and have a "recycled rock" sound.

Actually I agree. For many of the songs ayu wrote, it's not really the melody that makes the song so good.

Arrangement means the instrumental of the song...the music without Ayu's vocal...how complex and well the music arrangement is

example I love rainy day because the song have a complex arrangement of ticking clock, depressing sound and blurry synth

There are a heap of great arrangements in ayu's discography.

To me, no matter how crap or ingenious a composition may be, the arrangement can make or break a song.

I found that while most of the arrangements done for GUILTY and Secret greatly disadvantaged the albums, (miss)understood's work was done so freshly and beautiful.

I can't be bothered to list my top 10 favourite, but lets just say STEP you and Ladies Night are just ridiculously magnificent.

1) SURREAL - I love the whole arrangement! Starting from the piano beginning (very memorable tune), to a slightly rock-ish feeling with the guitar sounds and so on~a very good rhythmic song

2) M - I love the part where the song starts to get 'serious', around the 2nd verse where the beat becomes stronger

3) vogue - This must be one of the rarest Ayu song arrangement..The starting music for the song is great~

4) RAINBOW - Love the front part esp very much

01. rainy day - The first Ayu song i heard. As you say with JEWEL, everytime i listen to it, is like the first.

02. Boys & Girls - I get so happy when i hear it!

03. Mirrorcle World - One of the instrumentals i'm listening a lot to. It's perfect!

04. POWDER SNOW (Orchestra Aucustic, or whatever it's called) - This reminds me of soo much, even if i can't tell what!

05. Dearest - I don't listen much to this song, but somehow it means everything to me! It's the song, that really made me fan of Ayu

06. SURREAL - There's just something magical about it.

07. I am... - It took alot of time for me to like it, but now i think it's very perfect

08. Duty - Somehow it makes me happy, somehow it makes me sad. I can't figure it out!

09. talkin' 2 myself - A perfect song!

10. Marionette - That song just make me sad, but in a good way
