Thoughts on Rule/Sparkle cover...?
![]() OK, what does everybody think??? I would say that I am OK with the cover... but, I really don't think that I like the CD images too much... Also, anybody want to take a guess at which cover this will be? I am thinking it'll be the CD/DVD. ![]() See what I mean...? ![]() Again... the CD cover is just horrible, the make-up, the hair and the BG coloring is really weird, i dont like it. this is the worst single cover from ayu in my opinion.
but the CD looks good, i got the opposite feeling from all of you guys ![]() |

I really like it, it's different, but in a good way, and I think the explosive eyepoping nature of it fits Rule very well

it looks cheap and cliche, i wanted to laugh when i saw it...it's like the worst cover since....
and Ayu looks quite bad... but then again it's meant to look Dragon Ball-ish, would be hard to pull off for anyone |

I'm probably the odd one out but I absolutely LOVE the cover and the CD art. =D
First of all, it's amazing that Toriyama actually did the art for the CD because that's quite an honor. And I think the style is totally adorable; it actually looks like her, and yeah her eyes may be a little buggy but HEY that's anime for you. I think it's totally precious. And second, considering Toriyama was obviously involved, her fashion is obviously inspired by his work too. I see her outfit and I instantly think "OH HI TORIYAMA FEMALE <3" because of the fingerless gloves and the top. Plus the hair. Not to mention it's totally freaking fierce and fits the mood of Rule (and probably Sparkle too, from what I can make of the preview). Rule is for a movie inspired by an anime so it's not surprising to see the running theme. In short, it's cute and I love both 'em to bits. =D |

The covers really remind me of Ami Suzuki. It looks like they had a Ami Suzuki sized budget for the photo shoot also...
![]() I hope the other two versions look better.

The "Rule/Sparkle" cover photoshoot is low budget like BoA's covers. But at least BoA knows how to pose and is photogenic. XD Which actually makes the cover nice.

Cheap and tacky. It looks like a debut CD from the 90s. She herself looks great, but the whole package is terrible.

i really like the cover..it makes me really excited to see what they have for the other two editions.
has anyone noticed...on her right hand...the one shes resting on her other arm, under the glove, something nude colored is visible just below the strap for the glove....this makes me think that these were taken while she was still having to wear protection for her injury and thus explains the need for gloves...as to cover it up. did anyone else notice that?

I love it! I think it's the best cover she's done in a long time. And the CD art is great!

Rofl I can live with the cover, not the CD art. It's really kiddy and lame. There's absolutely no elegance about it. To tell you the truth, I could really give a rat's ass she was drawn by Akira Toriyama. Yes, I know who he is and I don't really care. He may be an extremely prolific mangaka but his art belongs elsewhere, not on Ayu's CD release.

^I'm sure she doesn't feel that way, otherwise she wouldn't have used it. I'm sure she was honored that he drew her. But of course everyone has their own opinions. And I just have to laugh at 'Ayu looks like a wannabe punk star'...she looks like anime style to me.
