No, I mean, why would she "not make it a point" to come to Singapore? o_o
It's not like there's bad blood or anything right?

It seems that during a talk show in 2007, ayu stated that she wanted to come and perform in this small country where she attended the MTV asia awards in 2002 for her asia tour and they spent a few minutes debating the name of the country
I believe she really likes the atmosphere and environment here. It's just that budget constraints and lack of negotiations make it difficult in my opinion.

^back then i read an article about the companies debating whether is it worth to bring ayu in or not. Although ayu had a strong fan base here, but the cost of bringing ayu is high. She's very costly and not to forget her team aren't cheap either.
well, in 2002 i actually had a ticket to the MTV awards, but i fall sick that day and my dad refuse me to step out of the house. I tell you, i was so sad, but i thought she might come again. but after years, it seems harder and harder for ayu to come here, as her status increase and it's getting more costly for the companies to invest on her.

They don't take risks at all. I feel they are so lazy, the local record labels. One example would be Hady Mirza. Although i don't support him, i feel really sorry for the poor fellow. He won Singapore Idol and Asian Idol and Hype Records and Ken Lim has done squat for him, except letting him sing that Channel 5 song. It's ridiculous! There's so much to capitalize on, yet they rather sit back and milk their cash cows for endorsement deals and television gigs.
