Why so negative?

Yeah, I saw a lot of you don't like the Sunrise/Sunset covers.
Why so negative? Why don't you like the covers?

For me: I seriously LOVE the covers. They are sunny and Ayumi's hair looks so beautiful! Kinda Shakira-like blahblah. But I seriously like these!

What about you?

uhhh for me I like the background , colours & font of the covers

but unfortunately there's something about the way ayumi's styled/dressed that I really don't like at all

it doesn't matter so much to me because

1) I'm not buying the singles
2) it will not stop me from liking Sunrise & the subsequent PVs when it will be released in due time

I like the general idea they had and I like the way she's dressed.
But that's all.
Everything looks photoshoped. Sure, every official Ayu pic is photoshoped but it seems much worse with these covers.
For me Ayu doesn't look like herself. Who's that on the CD+DVD cover? Ayu is such a beautiful woman, it can't be her...I hate to say it but she really looks a bit like a monkey in CD+DVD.
Her expressions aren't very summerish (happy) as well.

The background is just boring. I love the idea to go to Bali, which has a wonderful stunning scenery. It fits well to the song Sunrise and summer in general.
But the background they actually chose doesn't look very natural. It looks like they just take a backdrop from photoshop or any other program.

I wait for HQ version.
Maybe they look better then, after all we only have tiny pics.
But I really don't like them.
There was so much potential, it's sad.

I like the outfit

But it's the photoshopping @_@ And I just really hate the fish lips, she looks like she have them in the CD only too...cause I see her mouth a bit open

And idk, but her eyes just look dead to me, she doesn't look really happy, like people on my facebook said XD it's like he forced ayu to shoot those pictures with a gun pointing at the end of his camera~

And also the background...I can't believe she went to Bali just to shoot the covers...T_T

And the hair~ the top of her head is a different color from the rest...

yes...agree...it look like they cut and paste ayu into that scenery

haha omg

They're better than the original XD

btw de gustibus no disputatum est personally I don't like them, they looks overphotoshopped and really cheap/pointless. And Ayu's facial expression said 'I must lookin' into the camera then this torture will over'.

because It's Horrible.

She looks like "I'm starring cheap Hollywood movie about Amazons!!!"
She completly photoshopped and looks like from plastic but that's not most horrid thing

The most horrid thing is a background!! It's completely unnatural! They didn't have to go to Indonesia, I would do better shoots for them anywhere because I'm actually sure that it's not original background, it's some photoshopped unreal and unnatural stuff. That Kazoyoshi(or what's his name?) should be fired from avex NOW!!

Her look on these photoshoots saying "Oh! My God! What I'm doing here? WTF???!!! It's him again???!!! Oh, no!! That guy will kill my career by making PVs and photoshoots!! Should I kill him right now?? Maybe then professional photographer will appear??"

but yeah, everything just looks very cheap.

And Plastic Ayu =/= hot for me. Sorry. It's a shame, because she is really hot...their art group needs to calm down.

It's just awful. Definitely her worst cover...I really really hope that everything isn't so plastic looking in the HQ...

even the BACKGROUND looks plastic

She does look hot, just look at that body, man! Although I'm not sure how much of that is actually real. She doesn't blend that well with the background as well. I think with the colours of her clothing, she'd be better against a sunset or something.

lol, i really like the cover, only her facial expressions ruined it!! and it does look a bit too PSed and background is fake but it's still nice!

it's definitely not real.. they altered her shape, tan, texture and everything. But they do that on 95% of the celebrity and promotional photos out there. Ayu didn't have this type of picture yet, so it's a nice addition. We don't want her to always have the same type of covers now, do we?
Me.. I just preordered both versions at CDJapan (supporting oricon

). I want these on the wall =)

Well you can pretty much just go through the Sunrise/Sunset thread and read all the opinions...

To sum up that thread so far: Too edited, fake looking background/waste of trip to Bali and weird facial expressions.

Um... we are negative because this crap, coming from a woman who had amazing covers like Endless Sorrow, BLUE BIRD, or Carols, is utter crap.

She set the bar high for herself, and this crap looks pretty average to be honest.

1. Horny? LMAO You seriously do not know how people 'look' horny. Ayu wears a very typical beach/summer outift, and there is no emotion on her face whatsoever, which just highlights the fact that SHE DOESN'T LOOK HORNY on the cover at all.
Koda Kumi - FREAKY CD + DVD cover is one example of a cover, where the artist actually looks horny.
2. I am on this forum because I love Ayu. It is embarrasing for me to share the love for a superb artist with so childish people, who won't buy the songs just because of the cover!
Well, guess what; Ayu is on the cover. She's on the cover. She is on the cover! Some artists just insert some crappy images instead of themselves on their single/album cover.
3. In those cover you mentioned, I only find the CAROLS cover nice. In Blue Bird she's got no emotion on her face at all and she is lying on a stack of differently coloured fabrics. Endless sorrow is much worse cover than Sunrise/Sunset.
4. She's done something different, and I like those covers for that reason. They're not overdone, they're average, which suggests that Ayu is still pretty much a normal person.
