korean boybands? solo female artists?
okay so i am so desperate for new music that i am ready to give into the k-pop craze lol BUT i am picky when it comes to vocals and music so it might be difficult. I also don't want the regul k-pop stuff with dance beats i need somethign richer and fuller like Kim Jaejoong's MINE mini album stuff and good vocals too cuz k-pop artists sound a lot alike to each other..and um i also enjoy FT Islind just for refference there. So if anyone has anything su suggest, i'm open for checking the stuff you've got!

You might like CNBLUE since you like FT ISLAND. They're pretty similar.
Lee Hi GaIn (from Brown Eyed Girls) Ailee Younha IU Might not be your style since you seem to like rockish stuff better (Youhna is kind of pop/rock though)... But those girls have good vocals and they're not doing electro / dance music ![]() EDIT: maybe NS Yoon-G too.

TRAX is a good band
![]() Dear cloud is a great indie band they made great albums imoNell is another great Korean band but most of their stuff is ethereal ballad rock, but good For female soloist I would recommend GUMMY If you're interested, for girlgroup I would suggest Brown Eyed Girls, their music is kinda different from the popular Kpop scene and all of the members has solo albums of their own. Sunny Hill is also good, they have 'quirky' music I guess. Dance-y but not like mainstream Kpop way. That's all I can think of

I second Nell and Clazziquai Project!
I don't like either of the people you mention in your first post, so eh, I also don't like that 'idol rock' sound that FTIsland have, so I can't recommend anyone like that. Maybe Neon Bunny? She's a solo artist, her first album was a great chilled out folky-pop album. Her second was a full on pop album, but it was better than anything 'idol' Kpop. She's pretty different to the run of the mill Kpop stuff. |
