Songs That Just Hit Your Emotions...
There have been similar threads to this in the past, but I thought I'd just remake one.
Music always means something to us....maybe how we feel, what we think, or what we remember. Do any songs (could be any type of music, in any langauge) hit some of your emotions really hard? Here are the songs that send my emotions sprawling: Waiting...(Neul)-BoA I don't know how to explain....this song makes me so sad and it breaks my heart. The beginning piano melody instantly makes my heart cringe with pain. Gawd...this song always gives me a vision....a vision you see in the PV for this song-a girl crying and covering her mouth, obviously in great pain as her boyfriend walks away in the distance.  Tree-BoA This song reminds me more of someone sad, who wants to be strong for someone weaker, as the lyrics suggest that you are a tree, and you have been standing in the same place for a long time and always will...for the one you love....you will always be there for him/her. This song made me cry once...cuz I thought of the performance where BoA cried because her manager died. Atlantis Princess-BoA This song gives me a completely different feel. It reminds me of the end of spring the beginning of summer. Whenever this song starts, I can feel a far away wind blow past me....I can smell an exotic smell of some tree from a foreign land. I can see the whole PV to this song playing in my mind's eye. This song makes me happy and I feel like dancing to it. Milky Way-BoA This song is just pure happiness for me....it makes me wanna dance. Sekai no Katasumi De-BoA This song...triggers a feeling of loneliness to me. Wheneevr I hear this song, I feel alone and sad. This song makes me really think about how some people in this world live day by day....traveling the world in search of someone who really loves them. Moon and Sunrise-BoA This song makes me feel lonely too, and it makes me feel alone too. RAINBOW-Ayumi Hamasaki Whenever this song plays, I seem to feel a gentle gust of cold wind....I see a cloudy sky and the last signs of rain drip slowly from a rooftop. This song gives me a happy feeling....a feeling that mircales do exist in this world. GAME=Ayumi Hamasaki This new song gives me a feeling of anger...it makes me wanna go kick someone's ass for soem reason. When the chorus starts, I feel like getting a baseball bat and breaking all these windows....I feel like slamming everything on the floor and going crazy. Rock with You-BoA Pretty much all the same feelings as "GAME", but this song makes me want to do that crazy kung fu BoA does in the PV on some innocent bystander somewhere. Uh...so I think maybe you guys get the idea. yeah I know...I'm kinda o_0. xD

Nichya By N i c h y a is kind of sad. And a similar song by tatu called nichya XD is sad too. The writers where battle each other with the whole nichya thing.
Dearest is a really sad song, it makes you think (I just recently listened to it).

Yeah. Dearest does hit me right there everytime that I listen to it and sing to it towards the end of it makes me cry.
Still Alone - Ayumi Hamasaki - This is another song right here that makes me cry my eyes out when I also sing to it. Also another reason why this song makes me cry is because of the lyrics. I think of what the english translation is to it when I sing. And then right at the end, I just start crying my eyes out.  HANABI ~Episode II~ - Ayumi Hamasaki - Makes me cry also when I look at the english lyrics for it. I am... - Ayumi Hamasaki - Makes me cry because it reminds me of my past relations and of how I act now. During the 1st and 2nd Verse is usually when it starts to get to me. Sakura Drops - Utada Hikaru - I LOVE this song! This is my absolute fav Hikki song!! I put all my heart and voice into singing it at the last chorus!! Makes me just want to cry...

oh my so many songs! usually, if i can understand the lyrics and they have special meaning to me they hit harder.
tori amos - silent all these years - this song makes such a statement. beautiful too. hikaru utada - first love - this song is just lovely. i know this might not make sense considering the lyrics, but i think it would make a great wedding song lol. my friend said the same thing as long as people don't know what the translation is lol. the brilliant green - goodbye and goodluck - this song made me emotional when i graduated from high school! tori amos - winter - another gorgeous song by her! she compares life to winter and its just beautiful. i can't think of anymore right now but i have so many more!!!

Ayumi Hamasaki - Far away
Reminds me of how my girlfriend left me... Its really similar... Especially the line - "Summer is coming soon, A summer without you"... The guitar solo is just full of power, I feel wind too when I hear this song... and I see a mirror as if my reflection is my ex rather than me... Ayumi Hamasaki - SURREAL The piano in the beginning is just so powerful for me... Ayumi Hamasaki - Heartplace I feel more of a connection to this song with the few English lyrics, I feel such nostalgia when I hear this song... X-Japan - Tears Such a beautiful song... I love it! Namie Amuro - Can You Celebrate? Another beautful song... Ayumi Hamasaki - Dearest A nice love song, I get tingly when I hear it... Ayumi Hamasaki - INSPIRE This song makes me crazy, I feel like doing something I won't usually do when I hear it... Its inspiring in a strange kind of way... BoA - Shine we Are! Makes me pretty happy... Sex Machineguns - Soko ni Anata ga Gets me pumpy and pissed... Blink182 - Stay Together For The Kids Very emotional song for me... Vanessa Carlton - A Thousand Miles The piano is soo nice in this song... I feel sad... Linkin Park - Pushing Me Away Feeling angry when I listen to it... Ayumi Hamasaki - Because Of You I also feel angry and sad... I can't go back to the time, when I did not know you... Do As Infinity - fukai mori So beautiful, I imagine grassy hills and a dark forest... ELT - Future World I imagine a future world, all hi-tech and stuff... Makes me energetic... ^^;; I'm probably missing alot of songs...

Ayumi Hamasaki's Memorial Address- the first time i heard it made me start crying, eventhough my japanese is not that great, i could everything shes was saying, and everytime i listen to it, i get little tears in my eyes, this song is just makes me really sad.
Ayumi's Hanabi and Hanabi~ep. 2~ i just both of these songs, the lyrics just blows me away and it makes me feel like i am moving on with my life and departing from something that made me happy. Namie's I have never seen, four seasons, wishing on the same star- all make me feel good, like its okay to love someone and get my heart broken, i just really love her ballads alot. there not too deep and not cheesy at all. Gackt's Last song, tsuki no uta- are just beatiful songs all in themselves, the lyrics are just wonderful, i really love the vocals, i just love gackt's voice. bump of chicken's sailing day- gives me soo much engery, makes me feel like everything is going to be all right, at the same time that song reminds me greenday, and the video for sailing day i really liked alot,.

Onitsuka Chihiro - infection
Well what can I say about this song other than it's uber-dramatic, beautiful vocals and it just makes me feel so sad. >_< Koda Kumi - Crazy 4 U This song makes me want to get up and dance...all the time...I could be talking to friends and then the song'll come on and I'll just start..dancing about. x_x Ayu - Because of You It's good to listen to when you're angry. Ayu - Dearest (Acoustic Piano) This song soothes me. koRn - Daddy This song makes me feel -very- uncomfortable I like it...but I hate it.

Ooh I agree with Milky Way (Korean version) That was one of my fav. songs of summer 03.
Um this is kinda hard... Dearest (piano version) by Ayu - it always makes me sad and I want to start crying. Endless Sorrow by Ayu - this song is like "Dearest" to me. It was also the first Ayu song that I knew all the words to, so I would sing with the cd. Hanabi II - sad song, and I always think of Ayumi crying (my avatar) in that scene. So sad. AI & Double "My friend" -- this song is really nice with great lyrics. I think it is a song that most people wouldn't enjoy, but I feel really connected to the song and have been for quite some time now. Tamaki Nami's "Shining Star" -- I seen her perform this twice (when she came to Cali) and it is one of my fav. songs! GOD I was so shocked she sang this song (since she only sang 4 songs at both shows) and I got so happy and stuff! I felt so special! See Me Fly (or something like that) by Joey Yung - Such a pretty song, I wrote a nice story thanks to that song. I don't know what else to add right now

Most of the songs I prefer are emotional, and that emotion is usually sorrow.
Hamasaki Ayumi - For My Dear I always think of this song as the one that represents my outlook on life. At this point in life, I really feel the words in this song down to the depths of my being. The song is light and airy as most of Ayu's first singles were, but it's much more emotional than the others. The lyrics are what really got to me. When she sings, "I cannot say the words I want to say most" and "I cannot hear the words I want to hear most," I feel the loneliness she must have felt at the tme. It seems so genuine to me. I feel that connection to her. ZARD - GOOD DAY This song is one that I listened to on a whim and could not get out of my head after I'd heard it. The singer and lyricist is telling everyone to leave her alone. I felt like I'd been slapped in the face the first time I listened to it. The pain underlying the lyrics and the melody was that vivid. Though she sings that she wants to stop living in such a sad way, everything else in the lyrics seems to betray this notion. Dreams Come True - Aishiteru, Aishiteta If you haven't heard this song, listen to it. It's good. Miwa has such a way with description of the little things in life. I really enjoyed this song. I can feel the nostalgia and love in this song. She cherishes the person for whom this song was written. Hamasaki Ayumi - Hanabi ~episode II~ The sentiments of the song and the feeling of finally, finally moving on from lost love are very powerful. I was really taken by her line "Your name calling my name, your casual habits... I want to forget them, but I dont." Isn't life such a parodox at times? I think only she could write about such things with such frank, piercing sentiments.

Sammi Cheng's "Che but duk lei" (Not willing to let go of you), I've loved this song for 8+ years and still do.
The rest I mention I'll make it J-pop so people know what I'm talking about. Chihiro Onitsuka- infection MISIA- Namae ga nai sora wo miagete (Feels like singing along everytime, only I can't hit that high note near the end =_=) fra-foa- Aojiroi tsuki (I cannot get sick of this song, I've never heard loud, emotion and slow blended into one and sounded so well) Shiina Ringo- Unconditional love Mika Nakashima- FIND THE WAY *Melts like chocolate, that's what I feel like when I hear this song*

K-kun, isn't it pronounced as "Seh But Dut Lei"? LOL I was about confused about that at first cause i was like, "Which song is that? *thinks hard* *looks at your translation of the song's name* *thinks some more* OHHHH..." *hides face* Stupid, ne?
Songs that hit straight at me right away that I can think of off the top of my head are: Ayumi Hamasaki - Memorial Address (sadness. yup, i'm optimistic but also very pessimistic. very weird, i know.) Ayumi Hamasaki - Because of You (the PV hit me like WOW. I can sing my heart out to this song and feel this sadness and anger AND this... feeling that just pokes at me. Hope within sadness, maybe.) BoA - U Ri (that feeling of having someone you love far away yet so close. hmmm, thats the feel that i get from it and it will stick with me.) Namie Amuro - I WILL (one of my best friend's fave song by Namie became one of MY faves by Namie. this song makes me remember some of the convos that we had before things happened. so, yup, this song has a deep meaning to me.) Utada Hikaru - Final Distance (one of the MOST beautiful ballads EVER. sticks with me EVERY time that i listen to it. and yes, i sing along to songs whenever i can and this is no exception.) Shin Seung Hoon - I Believe (what can i say? I'm addicted to My Sassy Girl. in fact, I even watched Windstruck to top it off. Yup, im just totally in love with this song. Makes me wanna cry whenever I hear this song and think about the movie.) *blushes*

wow...a song that hits me hard...there were so many..letsee...
Ayumi Hamasaki - Rainbow This song gives me the feelings of a sudden realization. It was a turnpoint for ayumi's songs and the lyrics are really true for me. I was saved by love. Though I tried to keep love away. There is a message of a certain person there to save you..and that's how I feel about someone. It's a really simple concept really..but powerful lyrics enhance it. The song is very pretty too. and she sounded greatful to the person. And so am I. ^__^Changin' My Life - Eternal Snow Oh my gosh. This song sounds SO pretty. The music just reminds you of snow and how myco sung it..She gets the message through very well with her strong voice. If this is how it feels. "Falling in love with someone", I never wanted to know that feeling. This phrase stood out to me and it's really true right? Simple and clear. This song made me want to cry... Rekka Katakiri - Futari no Basho This song may have the BEST lyrics I've seen yet. Possible because I love birds and flying and such that I love these lyrics so much. Poetic and pretty...so nice. The feeling of the song is pretty uplifting and sung beautifully by Rekka Katakiri. She has a powerful yet sweet voice. She CAN shout really well in the chorus. = =; everytime I sing along, I run out of breath which I really give credits to her for not. XD;; This song reminds me of the sky and I love looking at a clear blue sky when I hear it. See-Saw - Sea of Twilight This song is...well..it has a special touch to it. I love how the song refers to nature all the time. The song let's the message of "Never Meeting" flow very well. It has very nice vocals too. The scene I see when I hear this is a restless sea with a gloomy sky. Someone stands by the shore recalling back. It's just something I think of when I hear it.  Ayumi Hamasaki - No Way to Say This song may not sound much..but for some reason. I just love this song to no end. I am a terrible terrible terrible writer and speaker. I cannot say what I mean to say and nothing I want to come out, does. I always put a smile when I don't mean to. It's a terrible habit...But this song portrays that message and probably that's what I love about them. ^.~ Plus, Ayumi is able to put such emotion when she sings it. Ayumi Hamasaki - Naturally The song itself were not paticularly appealing. But I cannot get over the lyrics! These lyrics are always the lyrics I turn to when I feel down. I'm a pretty optimistic person but when I see the realities of the worlds, I realize seeing only beautiful dreams was only lamenting reality. Those words really touched my heart on the spot. These are constantly refered lyrics. The song sounds nice..but what really touched me was the lyrics. ^__^ Ayumi Hamasaki - Moments It's strange that it seems everyone around me is always falling down into a pit of saddness...It's very strange to feel the only one standing while everyone's down. Well this song/lyrics just proves how people feel when they feel this way. When you want to help them in any way you can. Sometimes it feels futile, but you continue to try anyways. That's what I get through this song. alright..I'll stop here...before I go blabbing on and on..XP

Twins - An Hun Hun (Teary Eyes) the song its very soothing and sentimental Utada Hikaru - First Love it often makes me think back my ex.. Ayumi Hamasaki - Memorial address the songs its so emotional but kinda angry Ayumi Hamasaki - HANABI ~episode II~ very powerfull song and sentiments also!!she's like practicly singing her emotion outs even the pv its sad... Do As Infinity - Hiiragi the pv and the overall environment its depressing and like someone its passing away...strange..ne
