I found this from a Chinese HK website. They usually just have news about HK artists only...but I found this:

Jill Vidal Anticipating Ayumi Hamasaki Concert

Jill Vidal and Kenny Kwan yesterday attended a DJ competition as judges. During the event, a competitor suddenly began performing kungfu, which caused Jill to laugh out loud. Jill disclosed that during her schooling years, she had once participated in a musical, she said, “It was really hard, we had to rehearse non stop. (Are you game enough to try out in such competitions?) Yes, when I was young I participated in singing competitions.”

Jill then revealed that she is anticipating the Ayumi Hamasaki concert and hopes that she is able to go backstage and take a photo with the Japanese diva. When asked if she has a camera ready, Jill replied, “No, but I can use my phone. (What do you want to say to Ayumi?) My Japanese is not very good and I heard that her English is not good as well. I hope to speak to her using Korean.”

Jill Vidal is a female singer in Hong Kong (sister of Janice Vidal, shes a mix of Korean and something but also speaks cantonese as well) and I think in the end she did go to the concert with other HK singers as well...

Ok why would you speak to her in Korean??? is she assuming ayus korean is better than english?? lol

Japanese-Korean cultural relationships are somewhat more closer than Sino-Japanese? I don't know about political relations, and I don't want to x.x Scary thing.

yes, she was at Ayu's concert name is Wai Si, she was the girl wearing sunnies with a friend beside her saying nice things about Ayu (i can understand cantonese!! )

I think Ayumi's english is very good. You know how you can understand a language but not be able to respond? I think hers is similar.

About her choice of using Korean: She was attempting to make a joke. However, it doesn't translate well in an article. Or could it be a form of Chinese humour that cannot be understood in the west (e.g. English sarcasm).
