Heh. ^^' I'm kinda late...but I noticed.

Ayu always has an american [or someone who looks like one] person in a few of her music videos.

And well...I find that rather interesting. =]

yea, alot of jpop artists have american ppl in they're videos too. i guess it's just for creativity or something.

i guess ayu is very influenced by american culture? initially, i thought the usage of caucasian in her PVs was to imply some meaning. but after that, ayu used them so frequently that i duno why are they for lol..

that's because a lot of japanese likes being 'ameruican', so they love to make themselves seem more 'americanish' in their stuff. and ayu's pvs aren't much different

hehe, that's funny but I don't think all ppl all are American:

I was surfing on the internet searching for something that had to do with my name's WOMEN (can't remember what) and I came to a site where a women had written her story because she was a figurant in the my name's WOMEN PV and she was russiun or spanish (don't know)...

They look more anglo saxon to me than American. Is it just me but has anyone else noticed that in most PVs it's caucasians that play evil/vs ayu roles?

Yeah you can't say someone is American just because they're Caucasian .. LOL There are Caucasians all over the world, like in Canada, Europe, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, South America etc.

And she doesn't just have Caucasians in her videos either.. She has really multicultural PVs. Look at Beautiful Fighters, there's also Black and Asian people there. look in Born to Be. There's lots. And Startin's main extras are White, Black, and Asian (the asian is in the car). Oh yeah, and in my name's WOMEN I remember reading on an extra's blog that the Caucasian women were from Spain.

.. Apparently some people in Japan are kinda racist or not used to being around other races, theres even a BBC report on it. Maybe Ayu's promoting multiculturalism? It also makes her PVs look more international

I don't know how to say this without sounding like a bad person...

Most Caucasians or whoever are easy to distinquish: one person can be tall and blonde, and another could be short and a brunette. Since Ayu is always telling stories, maybe she wants people to be able to tell the difference between all of the different individuals. It may be just me, but doesn't it seem that a lot of Asians look the same?

Again, I'm not meaning to sound mean...

I.ve always thought she use non-japanese ppl so that she would look unique in her PVs no distraction from other azn ppl LOL!. But I agree with evolution7931
