I get a message I can't entirely understand, but I think it says something about my location being elsewhere than Japan... I suspect I won't be able to watch (whatever there is to watch) becouse I'm not in Japan.

Yup, you need a Japanese IP to be able to stream videos from Gyao. One option is using a japanese proxy, but finding a good one it's not an easy task :/
