Question Why does Ayu move her mouth to vibrato?

Just wondering, why does Ayu move her mouth to vibrato? I was watching her old lives, and she sang with vibrato without moving her mouth up and down (i.e. maintaing the same area of pitch while singing).

she's not the one who "move" her mouth when doing vibrato, i've seen other artist did the sae way too, but they didnt "move" to big, duh

i'm thinking that its just a natural way to do so, and other personal habit

i guess moving her mouth make the sound sound like it's vibrating? thus why it's called a vibrato?

It's probably just the way she does her vibrato. I've seen people on broadway do the same thing, it's not really a big deal

vibrato is normally performed by vibrating your vocal chords, not your mouth

It just makes it more dramatic (the vibrato that is). Notice how she does it more with the uber long vibratos.

She does it without moving her mouth sometimes. Like Mitkki said, its usually with the longer vibratos that she does it.

this comes up like at least once every year.

I think it's also for effect, but a lot of people think she just does it incorrectly.

I don't know. I think it makes her original. Her vibratos are also a lot... hm... more pronounced than others? It just adds an effect sort of.

I love it when Ayu does her lip-moving vibrato. It's like an Ayu-signature move to me.

I don't like it. I hate when she starts to sing in this manner her old songs, as it was in her live performances in A BEST 2 era.

Actually sometimes I think her vibrato can get realllly annoying especially when she does it after every line >< It kinda kills the song you know... with the exception of some songs where the vibrato would work out well.

I think she does it for show. Honestly I preferred her earlier days though when her vibrato was much more controlled.

well, I heard that her way of singing is like traditional Japanese singer,, that always end every line with high pitch and vibration,,
but,, about that mouth, I don't really know.. Maybe it's a habit like Namie always pull the mic down when she wants to sing in high pitch..
I don't really like it,, and I often made jokes about it,,, XD
she should use her old fashioned way of singing...
