"Marionette" is covered by a Vietnamese male singer!

His name is Cao Thai Son. This guy covered "Marionette" and renamed it "Mua Thu Vang Em" (Autumn Without You), what worse is he doesn't credit Ayumi at all and on the booklet it says that the song was composed by Nhu Hong??? wtf?? i believe this is an illegal use of the song, can we report this to Avex so they can take legal actions aganst this?

Omg...if things get legal~ i wanna have no part in it~ X_X!!~ ...but i do wanna hear the cover.. Lol!~ how odd that this happened.

Edit: The cover IS good..BUT!~ WTF at the part where there is no Ayu credit~ UGHH!!~ some peoples these days.....

and to say that it was composed by someone else?!?! what is up with that......

But yeah, this is a really good cover...but ofcourse its because its recorded in a studio and whatnot. How interesting though. How did you come to find this? Also, i do believe its worthy of reporting~ BUT, i honestly...get scared when the law comes into play

A lot of Vietnamese artists cover other people's songs and don't credit them. Even if it's a good cover, I find the lack of modesty and proper crediting to be disgusting and shameful.

I just sent something to Avex. I hope it was to the right place: that website is really hard to navigate depending where you want to go. I just filled out an inquiry form half in Japanese, half in English. It says that it takes them 2-3 business days to respond, so we'll see if I get and e-mail back.

Also, I think it's hilarious that they have English versions of artists' pages but don't have an English version of the main Avex page.

it was released 2 days ago. When i heard this song i was like "OMG, he is singing Marionette" and when i looked at the CD sleeve and saw that it was composed by someone else not Ayumi I was really furious. he doesn't respect the artist at all.

Well, you guys can try filing a report, too. The more the better, I suppose.

Go to https://ssl.avexnet.or.jp/ask/avexnetjp/rec.php and click that button.

On the next page: in the first box put your e-mail address. In the second box put what you want to say in it. The other boxes aren't important. Then click the button on the bottom and it should take you to a screen that says in Japanese, "Thanks for the inquiry. It'll take us 2-3 days to get back to you; but if you don't hear but from us, there may have been an error in the e-mail address. Send another inquiry in that case."

I *think* that's the right place to send stuff to. I couldn't find any place better.

That's unfair... the really worst is that he didn't credit Kazuhiro Hara or Ayu.

This is really a serious case IMO.

OMG! Its EXACTLY as Marionette was!!!
His voice was SO good, without crediting on the composer, arranger, AVEX, or even Ayu is a DISASTER!
