ya I saw that too Lisa , they dubbed it as RESCUE Special Orange day & I think this's probably the 1st time KT has fallen from #1 , daily charting rank wise which's quite surprising as I really thought RESCUE will perform better than ONE DROP which's obviously not & Johnny has hit the panic button

Well the sales are still great, if they were like at 100k then I would be worried.

no I don't think it's ARASHI that's stealing KT's fans , it probably due to other factors which I can't pinpoint to

I'm quite sad that KT can't sell as well as before but I suppose if they were only to sell 100K+ in the 1st week then it's very worrying

Maybe people are just losing interest in them? Every JE band has had a time where their sales haven't been that great and now it's KAT-TUN'S turn I guess.

but I was kinda joking with Arashi stealing all their fans...but it wouldn't surprise me if it was true I'm still shocked that they sold 500k in one week...amazing!

yeah probably so , I wouldn't be surprised . They probably already hit their peak when they finally debuted 3 years ago after a 5 year long wait

at least I can take it to heart that they still can sell when comes to singles & albums

other people ain't so lucky , you look at poor NEWS . Their sales have been so so all this while other than for weeeek & Kibou ~Yell~

all i'm worried about now is JE taking over their image/sound/promotion & like...turning it over to something more mainstream. but imo, i don't know how they're gonna do that...since KAT-TUN does not do well with more mainstream material. (i will be a very, very angry fangirl if JE makes KT do a 180 in every way possible.)

i don't really like bringing up Arashi vs. KAT-TUN. both are at very, very different stages of their career right now despite being somewhat close age-wise. KAT-TUN's still a relatively "new", whereas Arashi is experienced. & yeah, after the whole "debut", a JE group does go into a decline (...i think only K8's avoided that. props to them~ ).

i guess like i have been saying in the Arashi thread. it's time for KT to look at the fine details like shifting focus on other members. however, i do think that's somewhat happening. now it's the waiting, LOL.

because quite honestly, Junior!KAT-TUN was Akame, Akame, Akame...but Debut!KAT-TUN it's Akame, Akame, OH HEY UEDA SOLO CON, Akame, Akame, NAKAMARU LEAD DRAMA ROLE, Akame, Akame...yeah, you get the point. xD

Adding a free poster for every purchased single? Talk about cheap. If there would have been a free poster since the beginning, OK, but start that now, because of "poor" sales? The sales might not be like their other ones, but some releases have to struggle the whole year in order to get somewhat close to these sales.

^ actually, i was quite surprised with the additive poster also...i mean, "RESCUE" is doing better than "White X'mas" & "ONE DROP". not to mention the Music Station & Sunday's RESCUE episode will probably boost weekend sales too.

& not to mention they are the 2nd best-selling JE group currently...IDGI. xD
but i suppose they want more LIPS/Ktf/DUES type sales? :\

i just hate how a good song like RESCUE sells like this and a crappy, mediocre song like ONE DROP sells better. It's really not fair. And I think that maybe KAT-TUN has reached their peak also. Their peak was freaking HUGE - so it is kind of understandable that their sales have dipped a bit. But they're still doing incredibly well, better than NEWS has ever done in their entire career.

their sales are not as good when they debuted 3 years ago , it's quite evident but at least it haven't come to a stage when they're in un-popular mode zone

I frankly will hate to see the day when they totally sell out & go a 360 music direction just to fit into the masses , that will really make my blood boil & might threaten myself to throw away their stuff down the drain

& @ Eirynne - yeah too much Akame , that's why I say right now it's great that the spotlight has been shifted a bit to Nakamaru (reg RESCUE) & then Ueda (reg last year's Mouse Peace and his current butai Romeo & Juliet)

so earlier on I watched the 5th episode of Kami no Shizuku , after waiting 2-3 weeks for J-One records LJ comm in subbing it

I'm quite badly shaken at the twist at the end of the episode , it's just ... horrible . Kame's dad in the show Kanzaki Yutaka is just a bad bad person , how could he do that to Kame's Kanzaki Shizuku & Tomine Issei

i'm gonna do a Kami no Shizuku / RESCUE marathon over my spring break, LMAO.

wow, it's surprising how...a poster...can lead to like 30k increase...LMAO. but tbh, if i were in Japan, dude, i'd get that damn poster as well. xD & kaori., RESCUE is doing way better than ONE DROP! :] ONE DROP got 280k first week.

& i agree, this "slump" of theirs is actually pretty good, IMO. i think people expect too much from them, since they did sell a million of their debut single. but all JE groups go into slumps.

TOKIO's 2nd best-selling single is "Sorafune"...& that came like, 12 years after their debut. so, anything's possible. xD

it came in a box similar to the size of a box where you can fit CDs in. the box has other departments to put stuff in too (in the bottom). but it has a stand (pictured on the left) and the pictures and calendar dates on top.

i really prefer ths type of calendar over the planner for the past 2 years. i mean, it's very pro-active and you can change the picture everyday! i just love the photos too. omg, so precious!

i love the Kame/Jin/Nakamaru sets the most. as well as the groups photos. I WANNA PLAY TWISTER WITH NAKAMARU & KAME. i own everyone at Twister. xD

I think it's quite safe to say that RESCUE will nail it although the drop from 70K to 28K was

yeah Junno's the weakest vocal wise outta the group but at least I can tahan (withstand in Singlish term ) his solo material & they don't make my ears bleed

oh yeah. and he improved DRASTICALLY from Junior years too. when i first heard him i was like, "YOU'RE SO CUTE, BUT MAN, U CANNOT SING." LOL.

i think his voice goes well with certain styles (it really doesn't do well with higher registers). i actually thought his voice was good in "On Your Mind". oh! & "Lovin' U".
