Let me make an example: Tohoshinki as a whole gets 24.929 billion yen(second list), in the first list, tohoshinki gets 4.985 billion yen, because the first list is calculated for ONE PERSON and the second list is for ALL THE GROUP, but because ayu only is one person, theres no difference with her money, so she wins as single person, but is not best as whole artist

Thats amazing! Whats more amazing is that she managed this despite lower CD sales than many of the other ranked artists. What boggles my mind is that if she was similarly ranked last year, that means she beat Namie who had a phenomenal 2008.

Did anyone bother to go to the links that this was supposedly sourced from? Because I can't seem to find a valid source. I tried both the addresses that are in the first post and neither are valid.

Several things struck me as odd about this list, beyond Ayu's ranking. For example, SMAP being ranked higher than Koda Kumi even though they only released one thing this year so far. When you look at the oricon numbers, there are a number of instances that don't quite make sense. If someone can actually find the real source that this came from, please post it...

Otherwise, its better to just wait until real official numbers come out from Japan at the end of the year.
