Hiromi (宏実) is an R&B singer and songwriter located in Tokyo, Japan. She started playing koto (a traditional Japanese 13-stringed instrument) at the age of four and grew up surrounded by many different music styles. During her high school years, she began vocal training and had her first singing performance in front of a crowd. This led her to perform at several local clubs in Tokyo.

In 2002 Hiromi attended college in Boston, MA and continued her voice lessons at a local voice training school. Later, in April of 2004, she won a singing competition held by “Star 93.7”, one of the most popular radio stations in Boston. After returning home to Japan, Hiromi joined with RnB producer Nao’ymt to create her first song “Recover”, which gained strong feedback. On June 24, 2009, Hiromi’s first full album entitled “Rainbow” was released.

^I've been sorta waiting to get it, but I think I'll get mine pretty soon. No one else is uploading scans or FLAC or nothing! (I dont even know if there is anything in the booklet lol)

I saw that emiko listened to her a lot so I listened to her to XD I kinda liked her RAINBOW album. Thanks for giving downloads to everything she's released so far. It'll save me time and help me discover more of her music~

I wouldn't feel good sharing FLACs of her retail releases since she's still an indie artist and doesn't have a big record company like Avex behind her. Every sale counts and I think with indie artists even OS sales can make a difference.

I did buy True Colors and RAINBOW and, yes, there is stuff in the RAINBOW booklet. It's mostly lyrics but there a few pictures but they're not, like, completely breathtaking or anything. They're actually very simple since she is an indie artist.

^I personally only make ALAC rips anyway, but I do want them enough that I'd go buy it lol Most people, even audiophiles, will settle for the 320 kbps when that's all that is available, and it is...so I don't mind so much.

I found out we have like at least two threads for her in the Asian Chat Section lol

It looks like people uploaded the full song VANILLA multiple times...which...I think the digital single is only the song anyway...I think thats why I never downloaded it...

This is good news (sort of), it looks like the rental-only album, HOT CHOCOLATE, is being given a limited, mail-order only release:

The mail-order version is titled HOT CHOCOLATE For You and includes a bonus track ("Need U Tonight") and also appears to be limited to 500 pieces (?).

Also interesting to note is the special towel being offered in the "Other Goods" section. ~~It looks like a combo pack of towel + "Aisaretai" single (?) that is also limited.~~ According to my middleman, the description says that if you buy the towel and bring it to one of her concerts, she'll sign it for you. I guess it's more of a backstage pass thing than a combo.

It's an ambient slow jam sung entirely in English.
