Wow... I just realized No buts! is coming out the day after tomorrow. Just a week after MIRAGE!

I've is really having a busy end of the year lol. Can't wait for No buts! I'm glad I haven't spoiled myself with any previews, the song will come as a total surprise.

^Just gotta say, I'm glad there's someone out there who loves We Survive. It's an amazing song but feels so under-appreciated.

Aside from that, anyone else heard No buts! single yet? I have, but I still don't really have a final opinion about it. I always digest music so long and change my mind all the time so I've come to realize it's better to keep my mouth shut to avoid embarrasing "oops you know I think I like this song after all" -moments.

But I'd love to hear other people's opinions.

I gotta throw in a comment about No buts!'s performance on the Oricon charts though. It looks like this will become Mami's highest-ranking single, since it debuted at #6 and has been #5 ever since. JOINT, the previous record-holder, turned out to be #9 on the weekly rankings, and I dare say No buts! seems to have the potential to beat it. We'll see how things turn out.

It's absolutely epic and amazing and I fail to understand how anyone could think otherwise!

^ I agree with both of you, "We Survive" was one of my first KOTOKO songs back when I was in fourth grade and it still hasn't lost it's charm so many years later! (i'm a 10th grader now.)

And I haven't listened to "No buts!" yet, how good is it?

If you ask me, not really good. I really want to like the songs, but with No buts! being so all over the place with all those beeps and guitars and whatever and having Mami go so chipmunk you can barely tell it's her... no. Just no. SATANIC isn't that much better: her vocals may be phenomenal, but beyond that the song is pretty boring.

But maybe you shouldn't listen to me, since everyone else is saying this is the I've single of the year (it's not like it has much competition though...).

I don't want to sound like a hater, but this single really wasn't for me. Whatever, I still love Mami

^ All of Mami's stuff is beginning to sound the same. Nothing to really differentiate it from anything else. I like the single but it didn't grow on me yet.

I did like Satanic more than no buts.

^I agree about SATANIC being better than No buts! but I can't say Mami's stuff is sounding the same. This single, for example, doesn't really sound like anything else she's made to me: yeah, No buts! is a rock-ish song and she has many of them, but none of her other tracks are quite this chaotic and chipmunk-y. I think she can still do songs that stand out, but I hope none of her future songs will stand out quite this way.

I know I probably shouldn't double-post, but since I should've posted this little thing ages ago, I'll just throw this in and face the consequences. Anyway, now that the dramatic intro is out of the way: I've Sound Explorer's "I've best song 2010" -poll is now open (and has been for quite some time...)! So do go ahead and vote! Bum-bum-bumpity-bump! Missed me? Hope you did, 'cause I'm back with some news and not gonna leave until I've posted them here.

First off, I've will be attending Comiket 79, which is... quite soon! Their offerings include I've MANIA Tracks vol. III and SHORT CIRCUIT III Premium Show in Tokyo 2010 DVD. Which means... Reina songs will be finally properly released and we'll get some sugary-sweet KOTOKO/Kaorin/LSP cuteness via DVD! Yay! Anyone looking for more information may be interested in looking here.

Also, just when you got over No buts!... Mami Kawada will be releasing another single! The single (which will be her tenth btw) bears the name of See visionS, will come out on 16th of February 2011, has a limited edition containing a DVD with the title song's PV and will be used as To aru Majutsu no Index II's second opening theme. Who would've guessed! Personally, I hope it'll be better than the somewhat disappointing No buts!, but time will tell.
