And there are so many ways they could have reached that amount. I dont think it reflects bad on Mannie...maybe the fact that he'd accept it, or that there was a lack of trust in the marriage.

Under many laws, he'd be entitled to half her fortune, so a set amount of ~$2mil USD isn't that bad for her. Besides, he was her husband - who's to say he doesn't deserve anything? For Ayu's fortune that's a reasonable amount.

I think this is more avex's doing than Ayu's... I think she's happy to be frank about the break up since she posted that she simply didn't feel close to him anymore. Avex is probably panicking thinking he'd sell stories to the media. But I don't think Mannie would do that - he hadn't for the 15 months they'd been "together" so why he'd start now is just absurd...if he had intentions to sell the story, we'd have seen him on TV in Austria or in a Japanese magazine talking about their married life.....he may be Ayu's husband, but he's still a nobody in Japan.

I was actually wishing for a tell-all book from Mannie. Although, I would completely lose my respect for him (not that I have any to begin with) But, I think paying him was for the best. I don't think it reflects bad on him. Nor does it highlights Ayu's lack of trust.

It's probably not true. If Mannie were that type of person, we'd have seen it by now.

I feel kinda bad for Leslie since he just wanted to do something nice for Ayu (well, all of those books were rather... interesting. Mannie's was actually the most tame.) by doing the photobook with Mannie and now it's being used as a reason for their divorce which is completely stupid.

yeah... some people can be known for YEARS and YEARS and turn into serial killers secretly slaying thir victims....things happen..but i'm not implying anything, i don't know him...just like none of us do...

Its the rumor. Its been rumored like, since the divorce happened.

Personally, as a celebrity, I find the settlement nearly obligatory, as an idealist, I would have hoped that there would be enough trust between them that one isnt needed. Thats what I meant by lack of trust.

Of course, that almost never happens.


I think the nudity clause is hilarious. We dont need to see where Ayu's.......anyway....
