Kuriyama Chiaki collaborates with rock band 9mm Parabellum Bullet for her latest single! The band's guitarist Taki Yoshimitsu wrote and produced Toyosu Luciferin, Chiaki's hard rock tune. Taki also wrote and produce string rock-flavored B-side track Hodokenai, Bokura wa Zettai, while the entire band come together to produce Roulette de Kuchitsuke wo, the single's second B-side track.

Initial press of this edition comes a paper jacket and comes with a Kuriyama Chiaki card (one randomly chosen from three available styles), only available while supplies last.

Kuriyama Chiaki reveals details on new single '0'

Kuriyama Chiaki has revealed the details on her new single "0" that's scheduled for release on October 23rd.

"0" is a dance tune that's written and composed by lalalarks. It's already been picked up as the CM song for Zenyaku Kogyo Company's cold medicine 'Jikinin IP'. The single will also include the remix version and a coupling track titled "voice".

The PV for "0" is a full animation video created by Minakata Kenkyuujo. It's said to have a mysterious story line with Kuriyama as an animated character. Furthermore, BLUE BAKK was in charge of the single's jacket cover.

Kuriyama Chiaki chosen as the 'festival muse' for TIFF

On September 19, actress Kuriyama Chiaki appeared at the Roppongi Academy Hills in Tokyo for the second press conference for the "26th Annual Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF)" (October 17 – 25), where it was announced that she will serve as the "Festival Muse".

Kuriyama was happy as she talked about her role in Asia's largest film festival with, "It is an honour for me to be able to help this magnificent film festival, which connects Japan with the rest of the world," and talked about her aspirations with, "I will work hard on this while also enjoying the festival."

Additionally, she said, "I would like people to get to know Japanese culture through the film festival," to which the MC, announcer Kasai Shinsuke, jokingly stated, "And then you'll also market yourself (to the world)?" She responded, "I did not even think of that!" Kuriyama will also participate in the ceremony and other events at the TIFF.

TIFF is Japan's only film festival regulated by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations and it began in 1985. There are five categories for films that will be screened this year during the 9-day festival; they are as follows: "Competition" which is to chose the "Tokyo Sakura Grand Prix", "Special Screenings", "Asian Future", "Japanese Cinema Splash", and "World Focus".

Also appearing at the press conference were actress Nikaido Fumi, who plays the main character in the competition entry film "Hotori no Sakuko", and the film's director Fukada Koji along with director Sasaki Hideo, who is the director of another competition entry film "Sutegataki Hitobito".

Chiaki Kuriyama To Star In The Upcoming Film "Tanemaku Tabibito: Kuniumi no Sato - Awaji-shima"

Japanese actress Chiaki Kuriyama will be starring in the movie "Tanemaku Tabibito: Kuniumi no Sato - Awaji-shima". It is the sequel to the agriculture-themed 2012 film "A Sower of Seeds", which was directed by the late Shioya Toshi. She will co-star with Kenta Kiritani.

The 29-year-old actress will play as a bureaucrat from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries named 'Keiko Kanno'. She visited the place to conduct a survey to know the situation in the place. She then met 'Takeshi Toyoshima' (Kiritani), a farmer who continues to work in the farm and keeps it going despite the loss of his father and brother, who was a fisherman. Her stay in the island has given her experiences that taught her a lot of things.

It will be Kuriyama's comeback starring role in a movie after "GS wonderland" in 2008. Directed by Tetsuo Shinohara, "Tanemaku Tabibito: Kuniumi no Sato - Awaji-shima" will open in Japanese theaters in Spring 2015.

Kuriyama Chiaki to release digital single 'Dilemma'

Kuriyama Chiaki's digital single "Dilemma" will be released via iTunes Store, Recochoku, and other music distributing sites on October 1.

It's been roughly a year since Kuriyama released her last single "0" in October of 2013. "Dilemma" has been picked up as the CM song for Zenyaku Kogyo Company's cold medicine 'Jikinin IP'. Regarding the song, Kuriyama commented, "This time, it's a rock song with a sense of speed. I think the sound matches the image of the CM that has changed from 'near future' to 'mysterious'."

Zenyaku Kogyo Company's official website features the CM and making-of footage for 'Jikinin IP'.
