Omg, that's awesome! I love Kero Kero Bonito so it was really cool to learn about their j-pop and k-pop preferences Thank you for sharing!

^ Yeah! I was very surprised and happy <3 I love them (also Gus talking about Ayu is making me love him even more lol)

Another thing: I don't know if this was posted before but I was relistening to Halcali's album "Halcali Bacon" and remembered that they mention Ayu and Amuro in "Style Style" at 1:55

"JapaneseならAムロ Aユ" I don't know the translation but they also mention Aguilera and Brintey (Agi-chan & Buri-chan) so I think it's a comparison.

I was wondering these days, when did people get to know that CREA was ayu? Around the release of I am...? Or right when M came out?

Yesterday & Today, i rewatched DVD 50 SINGLES ~LIVE SELECTION~
God i love this live compilation (except for Dearest choice of performance, A MUSEUM should be included instead of the boring performance from whatever countdown)

It made me in a mood to listen to Ayu first singles. Nostalgie~

I've noticed she used to dance much more (and better) until 2003.

I agree, but it's nice they included some performances from the not-that-memorable -ones
From the selection, they one live that got me furious was Fly high! What were they thinking?? Any performance from Fly high is better than that!
But it was her first time performing the song on tour, it had just come out as a single, so I get it, but still...

Umm... Ayu knew how to dance? When was this?
Just kidding
I guess since all the issues in her balance (because of her hearing) have made it harder and harder for her to keep practicing and she chose to focus
on other stuff instead..?

I agree with you
But still, Dearest is iconic so a better performance would have been nice.
It's a pity also than HEAVEN was not properly showcased until A BEST LIVE happened. I loved that performance
On the contrary i've appreciate the simplicity of Voyage or BLUE BIRD performances which were just extracted from encore sections.

Yeah Fly High performance was also random haha

I don't remember which performance make me think of that, probably UNITE! or AUDIENCE.
The choreo are basic but her dynamic was on point (for Ayu standard i mean )

The second DVD finished make me want to list her best vocal concerts :
- MY STORY TOUR (my overall favorite)
- A MUSEUM (I love her first singles medley)
- Stadium Tour 2002 (the Free & Easy~SURREAL~HANABI part <3)
- Rock n Roll Circus Tour (Surprisly good!)

Oh I also love a nation's crossroad performance!

What are your opinions guys?

For me:
AT05
AT10
AT16
But for me, CDL14-15 had the very best vocals.

I wonder if she'll have anything in store musically for 2017. I assume that will be part of the promotion. ONE YEAR SINCE..........

Oh wow, we have very similar taste!

My favorite live used to be Power of Music but that's not the case anymore - I think I've over played it and the shouting Ayu does has started to hurt my ears...

Stadium Tour 2002 has always been a gem for me! I love that it's so raw and
I think that was the perfect year for her to do something like that.

Yesterday I was watching RnRC 7day Special and though it starts with 15 minutes of clowns (she thought that was a good idea, wtf!?) and it takes a while for the show to start (always disliked Last angel on this tour), it's really good! She sings crossroad and that Softbank-commercial song acapella, I must have re-watched it ~10 times

Which Ayu tour/CDL is one you simply dislike to the very core? Is there one you've only seen once and never touched it again?

For me, CDL 2011-2012. Saw it long time ago and was so disappointed. I remember almost feeling betrayed, it was so bad imo. Watched for the second time last week and, uhh... yeah, it's still bad. So forgetable and plain and whatever she was trying to do with Maro and the beds was simply not working for me. Whole show was filled with bad ideas, bad execution, her vocals were just there and Ayu was barely present. I understand that it was a hard time for her, and I hope someone enjoys it, I'm just not one of them

Edited: ^The CDL I was talking about wasn't 2010-2011 as previously written, thank you "attractive nausea" for the correction ^-^/*

I really can't stand Party Queen era, so i've to say Arena Tour 2012 ~Hotel Love Songs~ is a big NO for me

Generally speaking, i don't really care of Countdown lives but i loved 2012–2013 ~Wake Up~ & 2014-2015 ~Cirque de Minuit~ (much more than the Arena Tour).

Future Classics is the best countdown concert for me even though there was at the time certain controversy about her vocal and how her voice wasnt powerful or she had difficulties singing certain songs. Close second is Premium Countdown Live because of the tracklist she was singing rarely performed songs. Naturally was awesome

Future Classics had such a horrid TV version. You heard PECO for most of it IIRC.

I don't really like pre-AT2002 lives.
I don't watch Dome Tour. Those plastic guns, that dress and headpiece ~~Aaaah I can't >_< But A song for and Surreal are gems

CDL 2010-2011. Songs choice was very interesting, but what the hell was going on with her hair and outfits?
<- I hate that wig most of all
