The song is about reincarnation.
What happens in the story is that KAGARI (Ayu in the past) is to be sacrificed to the moon. The guy in the the PV (I forgot his name) comes to rescue her from the woman who is about to sacrifice her. They get away only to be found again. Though the man isn't successful in getting away but sends KAGARI off on a horse. He searches for her even after being hit by many arrows. Eventually we see KAGARI (from what I'm guessing) was sacrificed to the moon. The tears she's crying are of blood, obviously. The present Ayu is in an institution due to her dreams. These dreams are actually reflections of what happened in her previous life. The actual video is based off of the short film Ayu did titled 'Tsuki ni Shizumu' (Sinking Moon). The man in the present is her soul mate and through the times they are meant to be with each other. Their previous experience was a traumatic one causing harm to her soul. She needs to find him again in order for the nightmares to quit. The man finally remembers what happened and who she is to him. I'm not sure exactly how she got out of the hospital. It wasn't told in the short movie. In the end she's at the point where she died in her previous life. The man comes and grabs her hand and holds her. From what I remember he said "I've been looking for so long. So long for something that was right infront of me" ... I haven't watched it in a while and I don't have the translation with me ... its on my computer at home Hope this helps! |

Ohh.. that's a little what I was thinking.. I thought it was just supposed to be like a movie.. until the end where she is in the water and the guy holds her.
Thank you VERY much for that explination, Now I can watch the video and not be confused. Good to see the ending was actually a happy one! ^_^ |

I always thought the movie was kinda stupid, but it could have been so much better... I just really doubt that the doctor in the institution would have said to this guy "look, you guys are soul mates, and the only way this very mentally sick person will get better is if you go out with her." Just seemed really farfetched. It should have been longer so more was explained & filled in, I think. Cuz the general idea behind the movie is really really sweet.

It's supposed to be a happy ending... "hora egao ga totemo niau" means "A smile looks good" or something along those lines...
