Thoughts on the Born to Be... PV

I wasn't speaking about you directly about the liking new stuff thing, but generally the people who hate her stuff tend to be '...ew this is too new go back to old sound yuck'

About the "No one has any freakin' 'music' in mind but they just complain that what she does now sucks." thing. No one really SAYS 'Oh, she should make something like this!' but when she does they end up not liking it. And most of the time, new stuff is rejected [Startin' / Born to Be...]

Agh. Confused now. xD Plus that's just one song out of a bunch of new material :\ Do you like anything other than Ladies Night on the album?

are you kidding me, one of the worst one's yet? I think it's one of her best yet, TOTALLY FABULOUS!! The song and PV filled me with such hope it made me cry, totally great, WAY WAY better than Startin, Startin REALLY upset me, I HATE that song. But then again, the Daybreak song and PV is my favorite Ayu one of all time, but for me now, Born to be... is right behind it!

Wow, I'm amazed to see so many people hating this song/pv oh well. I think the PV would have been better if the kids were in the light with her instead of in that cheap background. Other than that, the PV was perfect, I loved how you couldn't always see Ayu, why should good music be about seeing the beautiful Ayu all the time, people need to start loving her music more and not her/and her PVs.

The song style the gospel, it REALLY remindes me of Madonna's "Like a Prayer"

when you think about it, this is actually REALLY good, it's just the director decided to use lights that are a bit too bright. I really like it, it's just the lights that take away from it. 8/10.

It sort of reminded me of the Boys & Girls PV when i first started watching it. The lights weren't irritating bright in my opinion. My eyes weren't affected by it, it just didn't make things well visible enough though. I kinda wanted to see ayu better because I think she looked really beautiful with that tiara.

A. I don't make music and if I had any programs to do so, I would make something like Ayu's latest songs within 10 minutes. Have you seen the video with the guy who made a song like K-Fed's in 10 minutes?

Well, she's not the person she was when A Song for XX, LOVEppears, Duty, etc were written. Whatever feelings were motivating the songs she made then are gone now. I believe that was the message of RAINBOW/A BALLADS.

I think what they meant was.. like.. she was supposed to be 'herself' in the (miss)understood album onward. [I think she said something about being herself in an interview or something] However, the songs don't seem to accurately represent herself at the moment. I don't really think the songs seem quite 'Ayu' enough.. I think right now, songs like 'criminal' are her modern answers to angsty oldies like 'Duty' or something. xD And her 'Startin' is supposed to be like.. evolution. But not.

Remember. These old songs will never be 'reproduced' by Ayu. And if they are, people will probably yet again complain about how it sounds similar to an older work x.x

Did anyone notice that the water on the floor where Ayu was standing on was also used in Ai Otsuka's PV for planetarium? The concept is almost similar..

Use of water isn't really new, but I found the concept different. The water in Ai's PV is very tranquil, to give off a peaceful feeling, but the water in Ayu's PV reflect the lights, and it's very crazy, with splashes which give off a unsettling and upbeat feeling.

I have way too much time on my hands.

Actually though, I think the water was a cheap mirror to make it so that the lights would look somewhat endless :p

Not all the kids are ugly! XD The soccer kids are sort of .. unugly xD.
