Bjork - New Album News + Box set

Quote:
We at bjork.com have been quiet recently. Like the lull before the
storm, as Bjork is currently writing new material for a new album.
We, in the lull, find it delightful to place a memo to you regarding
the box set called "Surrounded" which is out in limited edition next
week.
As much as I love Bjork, Surrounded to me sounds just another way to milk fans for their money.

Album set will include:
Debut
Post
Homogenic
Selmasong
Vespertine
Medúlla
Drawing Restraint 9 +A bonus track, "Petrolatum"

Also, the MVs from Debut, Post, Homogenic, Vespertine and Medúlla will be present.

Sourches:
Bjork.com/Unity's news letter.

While I do find the news of a new album very exciting, I also agree that Surrounded really just seems to be a way to make cash for the company. Still, if I didn't already own Post, Homogenic, Vespertine, and Medúlla, I would definitely buy it

That Björk, always trying to milk her fans. I love her music, but I won't be buying this.

£55? No way am I buying this. I already have Debut, Post, Homogenic, and Vespertine. I see no reason to buy this for myself other than having the MVs. I'm just going to get a copy of Medúlla.

I'd buy it if I had money. ><

I'm kinda scared she'll be working with Timbaland for her upcoming album. I don't want her to turn r'n'b or hiphop 0.0

If you mean she's done as in ending her music career because she's comming out with a box set, you're wrong. She's working a new album right now. Bjork does stuff like this (especially lately). She had released a greatest hits and Family Tree box set before Medualla. Plus she's Bjork, if she isn't working on albums of her own, she's working on side projects and doing things for other people.

I think it's only logical that she work with Timbaland. Her first album had a semi-r'n'b feel to it. Her later stuff as well. I think Meduall had that feel to it. I'm pretty sure it wont be heavy r'n'b :x I don't think we should worry.

Ummm, I fail to see those r&b elements in any of her albums. And I'm glad it's that way. I also am hating the idea of her working with Timbaland.

As am I. I'm not the biggest fan of Timbaland, and I really hope Björk doesn't turn R&B. It is her music career though. =/

More experimentalism! Medulla was unlistenable. But this is too expensive. Although those who are new to her might want it.
