Tata Young: Temperature Rising

Any fans here? I Believe was a pretty decent album. She released Temperature Rising somewhere in August. It's her second full-length English album.

El Nin-YO! caught me by surprise and made me want to buy the album instantly. Then one of my friends sent me Mila Mila which I also liked. Yesterday I saw it on sale together with lotsa other awesome CDs so I've downloaded the album to help me decide. I find it quite dissapointing. The background vocals/choir for some songs sound way too gospel for a dance song. And I Must Not Chase The Boys sounds like some other 1990's song.

Anyone listened to it? What do you guys think about it?

I've heard temperature rising!
I liked some of the upbeat songs on this album, but i wasn't too impressed with the slower songs.

did you know "supahypnotic" is a cover of a song sung by Shaggy ft. Nicole Schrezinger (of the PCD)? and "i must not chase the boys" is a cover of a girlband Play?

^ OMG, no wonder IMNCTB sounded so familiar. Why did she cover such a famous song in the first place.. x_x It's quite annoying when you have that nagging feeling in the back of your head going "RIP OFF!".

I agree, her first album was soo much better. I bought her 2nd album and I was disappointed with some of the tracks, I like el nino and come rain come shine. I was like maybe I shouldn't bought the album at the first place.. Haiz and I was expecting ballads from her (there was only 1 ballad song through out the album)

Good thing I haven't bought it. If there's a CD single release for El-Nino then I'd buy the single.
