Rerecording songs (NEW VERSIONS FOR THE NEW ALBUM!)

I havent seen the BLUE BIRD performance at KINKI show, does anyone have it or is it availble somehwere?

I don't see what's so horrible about the PVs this year (except Born To Be... - that one was pretty bad. Too bright) - personally, I think people are too used to the dark depressing Ayu PVs and once the happy ones show up, it pisses them off. Not every PV has to have a plot or be dark and gloomy or look expensive.

She doesn't need to make "dark" PVs. This years PVs, for me, has been awful. Not because they aren't "dark". They just suck. The quality is so bad... Besides, it's personal taste.

I don't get how they suck. I also don't see how the quality is bad.

^ Well, exactly. It's personal taste. There are things you think it's wonderful and others will find it crappy. That's just the way it is. You might not understand why it's "crappy" since you love it. Example. "Startin'" PV. I find it really bad and cheesy. While others find it cool and funny. I don't understand why they love it so much but that's just the way it is. Ayu can't please everybody because everybody has different tastes.

Yes, but everyone's talking about the PVs like they're the worst things in history. More often than not, they just say "they suck they're awful" and leave it at that without any explanation. Which is pretty damn lazy.

I'm allowed to question peoples' tastes. It's not against the law.

Although that was the general consensus among users, I do not think that too many of the posts during their respective releases said much things like "it sucks, I hate it!" or "it completely rocked my world! Best PV ever!", both which are equally "bad" or "lazy", without additions or reasons.

Sometimes, though, as I've noticed throughout my life, you simply strongly dislike, or like, things, without reason. I always try to find my reasons and share them, whatever I think about something, though.

People really do not have reasons for not liking 2006's PVs..

Perhaps it's because they're so 'out there' and 'wtf' that people aren't used to this style from Ayu.. B&D is rubbing off way too much.. since that's the general feel from most of the PVs.

"Born to be..." is just not a song I like. I don't know how I would change it...

"BLUE BIRD" is kinda plain to me. Though I like the instrumental in the beginning, the chrous isn't superb. I think the chorus is too "loud" compared to the rest. It could have been better with a cuter melody. Like the melody in the start of the song and the melody after the 2nd chorus.

"Startin'" could be better with more drums and guitar. Perharps a rock version?

Born To Be... is my favourite after Startin'.

I think Startin' and Born To Be... is the two songs I'm the most satisfied with, arrangement wise, on the new album. Startin' is so full, well, I wouldn't mind another version of it, but the current one is great.

The pressure in the Born To Be..., wiht the very special drum beat, is pretty unique, Ayu never did a song like it before, and I love it. But additional arrangements is never wrong.

I'd love to see all songs re-arranged for the album, we'd still have the originals.

Then many MANY more people would love it.

I think if Ayu were to like have a jillion forms of herself in different situations in Born to Be... that showed her from 'regular teen' to 'uber star'~..

Maybe they do think they are some of the worst in history. I personally think that "Startin'" PV is one of the worst PVs ever.

Eh.. the PVs that aren't even PVs are the ones that I think are the worst ever. Oh mah gaw, movie footage + song =/= a PV. Same goes for concert clips ><

I don't care as much about the PV's, but for me BLUE BIRD just has to go >.< Also, a secret track would be nice.

They're not really 'out there' - they're just not very good. I've seen what real 'out there' videos are, and these are definitely not big leaps forward for anyone - they're more a huge step backward, especially for someone like Ayu, who usually puts out good PVs. I definitely agree with asongforXX that these are definitely some of the worst PVs I have ever seen, because they were badly put together, or just very boring to watch.

Well, I kind of meant out there as in.. "not in her usual place"..

Like usually her PVs all have that FEEL to them, like rainy day and Ladies Night, and you can really tell it's an Ayu PV.. but for the last four PVs, it's sort of all given off the vibe that Bold&Delicious / Pride gave off..

So they've been a bit 'out there', but not in the good sense. More like the sense that the PVs are quite 'detached' to Ayu compared to earlier releases.

That's an accurate description of them - they do all seem to be sort of the same since B&D 'out there' means it's something pushing the envelope, completely taking a new artistic direction to me, not really a description I'd use for these videos because they're not taking an artistic direction.
