help for a friend

well, im sure most of yu all know Princess_of_Roses...well she hasnt been able to get on AHS for about two weeks now. She says when she tries to get on, it says cannot find server, no matter how many times she reloads it. does anyone know what might be wrong? it cant be AHS cuz i no one else seems to be having this problem. here's a couple quotes from her on msn:

"well its bringing up a Cannot Find server page..and after i try to repload it 3 times it just stops.."

"the first 3 times I have the bar showing its uploading but after the 3 times it just says done at the bottom..."

"I really miss that forum though..i really really do..its a very nice forum"

so, any suggestions to help a fellow AHS member? thanks for the help!

If she was using http://ahsforum.com/ ask her to try http://www.ahsforum.com/.

Also, try using a different browser.

I had this problem too, I think it's pretty random.

AHS has been running smoothly for a couple of days now.

yeah.. a different browser should help.. scan for virus? i duno if that helps?

^^I tried to swtch from firefox to att yahoo then ie, but it didn't work.

then martin was like, "clear your cache" but that didn't work either. I just had to wait until finally I could access the page, tell her to do those things, after that...I have no more suggestions.

I'm very weirded out by why some people have these troubles, emiko had them several times while I was browsing AHS as smoothly as ever, and I live on the other side of the world as compared to the location of the server. The forum also often seems a lot slower to her than to me.

She even started telling me "whenever you go on AHS it goes all slow, it's because of all your damn posts".

My instant first advice would have been to clear your cache... but it seems some cache error is not the case. And, like nmskalmn said, try different browsers.

these past days, when Secret was leacked... it was difficult to acess AHS, and i have also heard about entering problems..

Well! Seriously! It would be working fine while he was at dinner or sleeping, then he gets on...and It goes all slow for me...I was like..."no way..." all of a sudden I start having problems...

And not only all your posts...YOUR SUBSCRIBED THREADS....omg....love...honestly...

I couldn't even access AHS when Secret was leaked I think...I don't know, may have been the PVs, but martin had to give me so many links because I couldn't download them myself. Thanks love.

Several other initiates (and even a few Staff members) have been having this trouble as well. It's kind of strange....

I hope things are fixed soon.

did POR tried using other computers? it might also be the commection from her network too

I have the exact same problem with www.mm-bbs.org It won't load for me. My friend who aslo lives in this town says its from charter. Maybe it's the company of where she gets her internet from. I'm just waiting it out. It's been about a week.

Thanks for the help..I think its my internet connection trying to connect to AHS..It wont do it anymore..it still brings up the page cannot be displayed..ive tried everything in my power to fix it and it wont fix..so i guess until I move ill jsut pop in randomly to the library and come chat..

If anyone runs across some tips email me please!

Calling your ISP might be an idea, if they have a decent tech support team.
