I wouldn't say the songs are "empowering." Hyde is a self proclaimed atheist. This cd is full of songs that question faith. He's not making fun of it, but analyzing it. And it is an amazing album. The best album this year I think w/ maybe only Secret being better.

"Jesus Christ, I believe you
The deepest trust, I won’t leave you
They call me crazy - but it won’t matter
And death won’t change me - not ever"

"Made in heaven,
I’m your creation"

Maybe he converted into Christianity

But if you read the rest of those lyrics they are clearly not about "praising." Made in Heaven goes on to become a very sexual song about bloodplay:
"I want your blood, give it to me
I taste your cells, instinctively
Come drink my blood, loose all reason
Out of control, sweet depravity."

And Jesus Christ starts out sounding like a praising song, but it's not. It's about someone who's child is dying and they are using their faith to pray for a miracle but nobody answers them.
