Your Favorite Song(s)

If you could pick only a few songs to be your favorites, what would they be? Of course, you can pick any song in the world!

I was going to limit choices to only five, but I have a feeling some people would have a hard time with that. So, let's have lists of no less than five songs and no more than ten. Fair?

My list of favorite songs goes on and repeats constantly. However, there are some songs I hear that truly touch me, and I'll list them now (in no particular order):

01. Dela (I Know Why the Dog Howls at the Moon)

Quote:
by Johnny Clegg & Savuka

You may recognize this song from the 1997 film "George of the Jungle," starring Brendan Fraser. It is played during the scene when George and Ursula are dancing around a bonfire.

This song is everything for me: sweet, beautiful, nostalgic, easy listening, and fun.
02. Let It Be

Quote:
by The Beatles

This song never used to be my favorite. It is my mother and her family's favorite, and I guess I could not get as close to the song as she felt to it. Now, I find it the most beautiful and wonderful Beatles song ever made!
03. What a Wonderful World

Quote:
by Louis Armstrong

I think just the lyrics alone show how wonderful and beautiful this song is. It is so uplifting, yet it makes me want to cry. (Ah, I know -- tears of joy. ^^) It really makes you want to stop and take a look at the beautiful world around you.
04. Dream Away

Quote:
by Babyface featuring Lisa Stansfield

(Please ignore the "Bambi" theme. The actual music video for this song was taken off of YouTube. )

What I really love about this song is, again, the lyrics. They are so genuine; the song itself is so nostalgic, beautiful, and memorable to me.
05. Feed the Birds (Tuppence a Bag)

Quote:
from Mary Poppins (1964)

Although I have so many other favorite Disney movies and songs, "Feed the Birds" is certainly my favorite. The Sherman brothers did a spectacular job in writing this song. This song always makes me cry (and always has).

Another thing I love is that **** Van Dyke (who played Bert in "Mary Poppins") said that this song still makes him teary to this day. Even when "Mary Poppins" was being made in the 1960's, it was Walt Disney's favorite, too. If I remember correctly, Walt would always come into an/his? office and say to the Sherman brothers, "Play it." And they knew exactly what he was talking about -- "Feed the Birds."

</disney obsession>

Now it's your turn.
