As liberal as I hope I am, I sympathize with the Japanese reaction to this as I really have something about public indecency and exposure. Really, it's not about the naked person losing any sort of respectability, or about the general respectability of society diminishing. It's about me having to bear witness to something I would rather not see. I'd prefer having the choice whom to see naked or explicitly, thank you very much. Respect my freedom of space, Tsuyoshi Kusanagi!
