![]() It can be downloaded here: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/ When it's been installed, go to to Edit>preferences (or simply press Ctrl+P) Now you should go to the tab named something like audio in/out. In the tab there should be a dropdown menu named recording device (I think) Choose "stereo mix"'*, now you should be able to record by pressing the record button ( You stop recording by pressing the stop/ square button). When you're finished recording go to File and chose either export as MP3 or export as WAW. *If you cant choose Stereo mix as an option go to to Controll panel and click on Sound. Now go to recording ( or something like that), right click and choose to show devices that aren't in use. Now i think you should right-click on Stereo mix and chose to activate and to use it as your standard device. Wishing you good luck with recording^_^ Edit: My computer has swedish as standardsetting and some things might be named a bit diffrent than what i wrote in the text above. If you can't find a certain option, try to find an option with a similar meaning and see if it can be used instead^^ Edit2: Keyhole must be open and on the channel you want to record from while recording. Also, while recording do not use anything on the computer that makes sound, example; mp3s, movies, youtube (also avoid ad's that makes sound). Audacity records exactly whats playing in the computer, directly from it's soundcard(I think). Last edited by lakrits; 20th March 2010 at 01:19 AM. Reason: Needed to edit/add a part of the text. |
