"End of the world" - why that title?
Hello, my apologies for being such an irregular poster.
I like the song "End of the Word" very much. One thing about the song that I wish to find out about its the correlation between the title and the lyrics. No other song title confuses me as much. I am well aware a lot of Ayu's song titles are somewhat symbolic ie: their relation to the lyrics are metaphorical or what not and I have been able to construct 'pathway' between them. But "End of the World", for me, seems not to have much of a connection. As far as I can see, "End of the World" is about the public understanding/ and lazy journalistic perception of "Ayumi Hamasaki" and her saying her fans are probably the only people who understand or try to understand her. Which element could be summed up as the 'End of the World', though? Why such an apocolyptic title? Thanks for reading. |
