Yeah.. Not too fan of these. The one with the yellow hat... She looks.... unnatural and she looks like she's high, her eyes are not...focusing, you can't "feel" her....

I love the carousel one and the garden one! The rest are kinda blah.. the sofa in the ocean looked like it was good in the smaller preview but now that I can see it better I don't like her pose, she's too stiff. I think the wig and hairstyles and photoshopping really brought this down, and she looks so PLASTIC in most of these. Really odd, she normally takes great pictures.

EXACTLY!!!!

With the exception of the carousel/convertible ones, the others just scream "Look at me, I am ~*kawaii~*!!" The clothes and scenery for the boat picture is nice but the hairstyle/shoes are stupid.

The Marilyn Monroe one is also kinda lame....cute concept but the facial expression is so deer-in-headlights. AND, you know, she reminds me of penelope cruz with that face...

The sofa in the ocean one is just "HUH?" inducing LOL

Either be in the ocean or be in a sofa. Mixing the two just doesn't work for me. The wig also looks horrendous.

She looks oddly stiff and rigid in the gardening one. It would've looked so much better if she just smiled normally.

i think i chose the jan/feb first because it's more fresh, and yellow, and it¡s rare to see ayu in yellow. but this one, it seems hshe has a ghost in front of here, i i eman,s he has not a confortable look. it would be 100 TIME BETTER, is she she would have been smleeing a flower or smth like, hiding in the leaves...

And I think avex should fire their Photoshopper for going to work on that cover.

Overall, I miss the 2005 style in which Ayu just pulled everything off so flawlessly. She looked sophisticated yet upbeat and fun. I don't know if it's just the art direction but she seems very unlike herself in these calendar pics.

I think it was red in TO BE era, though maybe it might've been a wig.

2005 had Leslie Kee. Of course they would be the best of her calendar releases. He's like a genius when it comes to photoshoots. Most of the quality of the photos usually depends on the photographers and it seems this one wasn't that good.

Also seriously there's nothing wrong with being cute. Cute sells in Japan and it suits her. Seriously they're not so bad apart from the TA exclusive which looks like someone went a bit overboard with photoshop.

i dont think the issue was with her being cute. i think the issue was with how forced it looks. it really takes away from her own personality when she tries to throw things around like this.
in most of those pictures, she doesn't look like herself at all. i actually thought that the cover picture was really cute, and it made me interested in what the rest of the pictures would turn out like.

Forced? Doesn't look forced to me. In fact she looks pretty laid back. She's posing for a photoshoot, so obviously the photos won't look natural plus she's wearing a load of wigs. The only ugly one is the TA poster which needs to be burned.

It's strange that people say it's not her personality and stuff because seriously she's always changing personalities and images to fit the theme. In the end no one really has seen her "true personality" on photoshoots. Ayu's constanly changing her image.

What was definitely not a good idea was to go away to Hawaii again. Most of the photos have that summer feel which isn't that great to see all year round. I love the images but they have a feeling of "been there done that". It's a shame not to have more photos with nature too, bet Hawaii has fantastic landscapes. What she needs is someone like Leslie Kee and a new venue. Ayu is always traveling so it's a bit annoying to see that she gives us Hawaii for three years in a row. It's been a while since we got something different like 2005.

for the cover and promo pic , i prefer much more the 2007. but, in general, i like much more tis claendar than the previous one.
