Hikki is always called Heisei Songtress anywayz.. . I dun think ayu can be hikki or vice versa. Hikki is the selling monster, while ayu is sorta like a release machine (esp back in the old days). If you compare ayu sales w/ hikki, it obvious that hikki has way better selling power on average. But there are other things that make ayu on par with hikki since A BEST, and you must agree that not another female artist in this era (let's say, between 1999 - now) can compare with ayu or hikki.
No one is comparable with ayu or hikki. ayu and hikki aren't comparabke between themselves too, both won some strong achievements the other didn't achieve.

Anyway PoL is #18 and HS is #15.

Glad to see HS rising although I would have loved to see it in the top 10. Oh well, I would love another week in the top 15

I hope it will still have around 15K at least for this week . I still have faith that it will be able to break 1 million copies . LAST FRIENDS will be done soon so I hope the last 2 or 3 episodes will boost the album a bit .

Agreed big time
No one is comaprable when it comes to Hikki and Ayu. Both are unique in their own way. They're both so....awesome

Yeah maybe the final episode will give the album a nice boost.
I think it will 1 million.

I definitely think you CAN compare them... but it's just best not to. Especially to avoid arguments.

^Especially when it comes to who is the best songwriter.... When ever u think of Japanese songwriter, u either think of Hikki or Ayu. I just feel so sorry for the singers that writers lyrics too. Kuu writes lyrics yet no one gives a crap.

^ Oh I know. There are a lot of singers that I listen to that write their own lyrics but they never get recognized for their talent

Please tell me that Hikki wrote:
"You're easy breezy and I'm Japanesey."
and I'll love her forever.

^Yesh...she did! She wrote all the lyrics to Exodus.....in fact, she writes all of her lyrics, even Faly Me To The Moon. Or was that just a cover song?

I think that artists that don't write 100% of their lyrics will never get much love for their lyrics, though most artists that write 100% of the lyrics write a lot of some good, some deep, some lyrics everyone can relate to at one point or another (hence why they have success with their own lyrics they wrote themselves) but artists that don't write 100% of their lyrics will be pretty much loved for that on the side because it might not be "as good" as the 100% artists ones so they can't write all of their lyrics because they need some other song writers from the side for different kind of lyrics while the 100% lyrics writes can write totally different things for different stuff.

When i am being asked who is my most favorit singer, i am really doubtful if i should answer Ayu or Hikki. That's why, i answer both. LOL!

I'm the same. Both artists are good in their own ways, and I like that their musical styles are different. It's like apples and oranges.

LOL honestly, I didn't mean any offense by that. I call Ayu 'the queen' in a loving manner...and no I'm not an 'Ayu-worshipper', but I do love my Ayu . But Hikki comes in second, as crazy as it might sound. I just prefer Ayu's style a little more, but Hikki IS a whole lot more talented and such. I barely ever compare Ayu and Hikki though because they are completely different...so...yeah xD.

I think there are two types of people in this world: Hikki lovers and Ayumi lovers They're both great though.

no, there's a third type: Hikki-ayu fan (or ayu-hikki fan), and I'm one of them. And for sure I dun want another rematch between them. (lemme remind you how torturing it was in the Distance vs. A BEST battle).

Fly Me To The Moon is definitely a cover song, but I think she added the beginning verse (Poets often use many words to I'll translate as I go along).

Well tbh there're times when I love hikki more and vice versa. For example, during that battle, I was happy that hikki got no. 1. Then, even tho I thought it was a bit weird that ayu got weekly no. 1 when she had only one daily no. 1 on the 2nd week, I was still happy, at least ayu had chance to get no. 1.

Also, whenever ayu released new stuff, I would love ayu more. That applies to hikki as well. If they both release something around the same time, that's like a mega-happiness to me . No one can replace them in my heart. They are two of the three artists that I buy practically every album from (the third person is sammi cheng, a HK artist).

Anywayz... Still no. 15 today... wonder if the weekly sales can be over 15K or more...

Well, she had that Exodus project in the interval of her Japanese language album releases.

Yeah, and if HEART STATION ends up being the last female album to sell a million, it'd be neat since Hikki's got the biggest selling album and stuff.
