Gackt is pretty tall actually.

Depending on the website his height seems to vary between 178 and 180cm.
I'm 5'7 and I remember calculating my height is around 172cm.

Er, 5'7" is 170 cm. 172 cm is 0.5 cm away from being 5'8".

OMG he appeared in FFVII? That's SO awesome! Why him? Why not some other artist? From what I could see at his discography he's hardly had any #1 things. o_o

BTW I have two questions (just found out about Gackt person lol):

- Why would he hide his age?

- Is he gay/bi? 'Cause there was this vid of him doing sexual moves with his guitarist (lol band playbacking XD) and attempting to kiss someone at an interview, etc.

Gackt also appeared in FFVII Crisis Core as Genesis - he totally looks like Gackt if only I could play the JP version I could listen to Gackt's voice...

^ Same here (as far as the loving Redemption part goes XD). I really have been listening to it a lot lately, just as much as I was when it was released. I really hope the next album is great. I'm looking forward to it!

Now, now that comment really gets me angered. You can't blame him for thinking that way and I don't think it was to that extent. I'm thinking they meant something like "why not pick a high-selling artist to create high-sales for the game..."? Anyways, like it or not, sales are undeniably some kind of factor showing how popular/in demand a certain artist is. You can't argue that someone who sells 2,000,000 copies isn't popular or even for that matter someone who sells 500 copies is. Just saying. It was rather rude for you to jump like that. Lol.

I never said anything like that. All I said was that sales indicaters are not always indicative of the quality of the music, and Tetsuya Nomura stated why he chose to use him. SE does not choose artists because they are popular, but mostly because they fit in with the feel of the game. Ayaka was hardly popular before the release of "Why...", same for Koda Kumi with "Real Emotion" and "1000 words".

And I always thought Gackt was popular anyway. Not getting #1 on a chart doesn't change that fact.
