I'd definitely sample Distance, but if you want to get a fast crash course, got with her singles collection. It has tracks from FL, Distance, and DEEP RIVER.

You might not like them, but especially Take 5 is wonderfully arranged and imho one of the most beautiful, most touching songs ever made.
I don't really like the beginning part of Nijiiro Bus, but after it becomes a little less "happy" comes the part in which she sings "daremo inai sekai he.. etc" I really like that part of the song.

Of course, everyone is entitled to his own opinion and I respect you're opinion ^__^ I really wouldn't care less if you hated Hikki or something (which you don't , just example). I just want to know if you REALLY think Take 5 is crap, I just can't imagine that xD

How can anyone hate Distance? Seriously, it's her best album to date. FOR SHAME!!!!!!!!!!!

Teiku 5 is amazing too, I'm going to seriously cry if anyone hates on it

I love Distance! It's my 2nd favorite album of hikki!
The album's highlights for me are Can You Keep A Secret?, Wait & See ~risuku~, Parody, taimu rimito, sangurasu, Addicted To You, dorama and kettobase!. So many amazing songs.

They are probably the best JPOP songs imo too. Play Ball and Making Love are probably the first songs I can listen to them 1,000,000 times and they never ever grow flat or old. It's incredible Funny enough, when I first listened to both of those songs, I thought they were boring/annoying, and I sincerely couldn't understand how someone could enjoy those 'boring crap" and even list as their favorite. I thought it was impossible to love those songs like that...but they slowly grew on me, like a curse, and I had to eat back all my previous negative criticisms about them ahaha They're so terribly addictive.

HEART STATION I liked at first but I don't really listen to this song now because it sounds generic so I got bored of it.

I'll never understand how most of you have that much passion for Ultra Blue. Album was a total downgrade in her collection of albums IMO. Most of the album tracks are just boring and u have no choice but to skip over some especially if ur not in the mood to tolerate it. UB is not something I'd play in the car. DDDDD: The album is okay but choosing it over her possibly best albums ever....it's-it's insulting.

your right, that was pretty harsh. Just because they don't like one phase of Hikki's career (say her R&B phase as opposed to her pop) doesn't mean they're music-ist against the genre. I don't like Ayumi's R&B/Rap phase but I still like R&B and Rap.

Remember everyone's entitled to their own opinions, implying that their opinions are insulting to you isn't a good way to make any argument. DEEP RIVER is highly popular and has as much reason as her other albums as any to be highly praised. You make it seem like only newbs and game lovers fall in love with DEEP RIVER! Is it such a bad thing to like that album? I UB as much as her other works but there's a lot of hate for the album that I don't understand and a lot of love for Heart Station that I really don't understand. There's no reason to get upset luvvie, stay kool kitty kat.

I think everyone just needs to realize that ALL of Hikki's music is amazing. There has never been a time where Hikki has made a bad album and we all need to appreciate her music and everything she does! It's important to really like everything she puts out, just because it's Hikki!!!

^why is it important to like everything she does? isn't respecting her as an artist enough? I don't like Heart Station though I respect it because its different and selling well. I personally won't listen to it enough to like it though; its not my taste.

However I'll listen to BW/K&C single...that's a ray of sunshine in my day.

I think if I like everything she does it'd make her new material a bit less...exciting or refreshing? cause I know I'll like it anyway so hearing something different won't really matter as much.

You know, even if I say something from Hikki is bad or I don't like it, it's still usually about 10 times better than most artists' best songs for me! Even the Hikki songs that aren't good, I make myself like them because it's Hikki and I really love her. I think it's important to try your hardest to like something if it's from an artist you really love
