Next week, she'll probably drop down to 25-35,000 copies at position numbers two-five.

I really have no idea with this one. I think it could go either way despite the fact that Days is the type of winter ballad that they Japanese seem to love.

I doubt that one too, AVEX will do everything for Ayu's sales since its her 10th anniversary.

My prediction is around 130k less on MW because this single has huge potential to get neat sales since no threats found on the release week.

I'm hoping it will do atleast as well as MW in total sales. I'm not expecting it to sell over 200k..although it would be nice. Its been awhile since ayu released an winter ballad single and plus its gonna have 4 versions, 2 a-sides. Days is doing well in downloads and there will be cdl and the rest of the year end shows to boost it up. Well we'll see. Hopefully by the time its being released, ppl won't be too poor to buy it from buying Exile's ballad best.

I'm predicting sales in 2 ways...

1) ~110K - ~130K: Let's say only hardcore fans buy ayu singles in nowadays, so the sales should be similar to previous singles. Casual listener may like the song (esp Days since I think this song attracts Japanese more), but I doubt they will buy the physical cd. Rather, I think Days will have a stronger digital sales compared to previous singles.

2) >160K, or even hitting 180K on the first week: Given that Days is a really good song (I'm not saying GREEN is bad... but the pv really scares people away), and the lyric really catches girls' heart (and probly even guys heart if they pretend that ayu is singing to them), probly people will buy the single this time. I assume ayu has already 100K hardcore fans + 30K not-so-hardcore fans, and probly another 30K casual buyer will buy this single..?

She's also doing a lot more promotion for this single. She only performed MW twice before the release, whereas Ayu is around all December to shows etc.

I'm hoping for around 110k+ for the first week.

Maybe 150k for first week and peak at 250k? I hope that this single will peak above 200k!

I think she really is having at around 150k-200k in the first week and that she will peak at around 300k-350k or even more (I don´t wanna be so optimistic tho xD) imo.
For the following reasons:

-Catchy winter track like Days, which is the typical song Japan loves and eats up, and which is of better quality than similar releases like stay with me or koi wa groovy (always imo) so if people are going to buy 1 winter single they will buy this.
-It´s an A side, so 2 songs. Mirrorcle World only had MW promoted, and it sold a lot.
-4 versions
-New versions of old songs (nostalgic buyers)
-Cheesy, cute covers that collecters will love
-The whole 10th anniversary thing
-The proximity to the TV airing of the Asia Tour
-Ayu is doind very nice at lives promoting Days
-Cool PVs (even if GREEN is not that great is good eyecandy and looks expensive)
-The new "oldies" boom could affect Ayu, but I don´t think she ever had the "fall from grace" that Namie had.

Like blugie said, Ayu's sales are hard to predict, it could either sell similar to glitter/fated or it could outsell MW, though I guess it has a better chance of getting more sales as both songs are quite poppy with lyrics that are easy to relate to, plus Days seems to be doing good as a ringtone.

I target a BLUEBIRD charting pattern for it. 160k for the first week. I think it's a better single than MW and i would like for her singles to go back to platinum status.

Why did avex do four versions anyway. This single can get #1 without four versions. I would have saved the four versions trick for singles that will probably sell less good, like MW.

^Oh because they do that for the reason they want to make a lot of money.
When they did those versions for MW it was to get higher sales and earn more money it wasn't specially in order that it will get #1.
It was shuunichin's debut single they most likely didn't know they will be a competition.
In the middle of the week when they started to gifting in tour and the sudden promotion that was to make sure MW will get #1.

totally agree with you... some day I said, when we didn't know how was going to be this single, that the perfect option would be a sweet ballad. yeah.. i think it will do prety well the first week... maybe... i don't wanna be so optimistic, but around 200K! yeah... MW has only 1 a-side and a half of this a-side is previous in GUILTY... only one PV... This time 2 good a-sides, completly news, the both songs are great, the covers are catchy, long time since a double a-side single from ayu (t2m/decision...)...

yeah... it can do really good!! or, at least, I hope so!!

and... I wish it will happen what some of you have said, another ayu-boom!! *-*
